Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kevin A6 contributionsHave just spent three days wandering and wondering the delights of the Abel Tasman National Park. This is an insanely beautiful setting to allow your legs to propel you along trails, cooled by a verdant tree canopy, before feasting on beaches of golden sand, too many to name, lapped by aquamarine seas, each vying for your and your camera’s attention. I chose to use Wilsons, a family owned operator and enjoyed the company of one of their knowledgeable, passionate guides - Sarah, over three wonderful days. Their lodges: at Torrent Bay and Meadowbank are exceptional as is the food and the people who run them. If you’re after a five star trip then look no further.Written 2 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - D4BBCBroadstairs95 contributionsA beautiful 30-40 minute walk to the falls. Peaceful and very special. 23 years ago I wasn't able to summon the courage to cross the short swing bridge - but this time I did and gosh was it worth it. The falls are stunning.Written 8 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Val LNelson-Tasman Region, New Zealand22 contributionsThis is just one of the many beaches in the Abel Tasman National Park. Easy walk in to this beach so take a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.Written 18 February 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
