Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came here specifically to see the Begg but it would be silly to say all of the other cars were a bonus. This museum is incredible! So may models I've never seen in person before.
The details provided for every single vehicle were so interesting.
The museum is well organized considering such an enromous inventory. The staff were so nice and we had so many ah! moments! I don't think I took enough photos. :)

What a lovely beach to take a stroll, breathe in the fresh ocean air, and just take it all in. The beach is clean, quiet, and well manicured. Parking was not difficult and people were happy to be there.

A fantastic afternoon walk with stunning views, good parking, nice trials with fabulous scenery 360° from the ocean to the mountains and a really nice breeze.

Recently stayed at the Kiwi Beach Bach which is situated directly opposite this park. My family had an awesome experience, The park is a credit to the community, very safe and well utilised by all accounts. Perfect for picnics and family time with the BBQ's in operation.

The complex is suitable for the whole family or competitive swimmers. Water good temperature. Baby pool and children's pool very good as is the main pool. Womens changing room spotless. Spa for adults good but a small charges applies. Cafe good and very reasonable.

The ice cream and candies are always worth the stop. As we have a toddler we also considered visiting the farm. A big hand painted sign said to purchase tickets from the café. Looking over the fence it would have cost $12 for our family to see chickens and ducks;- albeit more gourmet than at our local pond. We chose to buy 3 more bags of lollies. The cost of the farm entry and neglected appearance really ruins this complex. Its a shame, because the ice cream is awesome!!

We did a self guided day tour, although it started with a really great introduction and briefing from one of the guides. We went mainly for the birdwatching and the island exceeded our expectations, it was as good as Ulva for us! With a bit of patience and a pair of binoculars we saw just about everything. Kaka, kakariki, hi hi, whitehead, saddlebacks, kokako, tui, bellbirds, gannets. Somebody else saw one of the two resident takahe. No kiwi of course as we were there during daylight hours. The walk to the summit is easily done in the time you have (we are 50 something and spend a lot of time looking at birds). The forest is lovely and the boat trip was fun, launching from the back of a tractor into breaking surf was a laugh. If you like birds make sure you walk the estuary too, plenty of dotterells, oyster catchers, shags and terns.

We did the Self-Guided Eco-Experience promoted by Kapiti Island Nature Tours. Check in was seamless witha quick biosecurity self check completed at the office and then a boot brush and disinfectant at the beach when boarding. An easy boat ride across the isladn followed by welcome and introduction. The introduction was good and thorough.
Then the funs began with a gentle walk striaght up the hill behind to the top. Lots of stops along the way to see kaka, tui, tieke, weka and hearing long-tailed cuckoo. The view from the trigat the top is well worth while. A slow walk back down and relax at the ebach before pick up completes a great day.
