- Sus1952Palmerston North, New Zealand2,074 contributionsIt is well worth making the effort to get to Stirling Point at the very end of State Highway 1. This is a good spot to see all the huge ships that take Foveaux Strait. And just to be at the most southerly point on State Highway 1 is amazing. But this isn't the most southern point in New Zealand that is Slope Point. I loved the new sculpture of Maui's anchor chain that has been installed near the signpost.Written 1 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Granma56Turangi, New Zealand18 contributionsHad a wonderful day. A good price for myself and the girls. The exhibits were really neat especially the diving helmet and the mutton bird kete. The pictures had interesting stories with them too.Written 12 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peonie49155 contributionsSo glad we found this little cafe. Lovely hot coffee and the cheese scone was obviously homemade as it was yummy. The sausage roll was very tasty and came with real HP Sauce.
Very pleasant young lady behind the counter. Wandered around the gallery which was interesting. From beginning to end, across Lake Manapouri with skipper Ian and crew Karen who were friendly, knowledgeablesnd helpful, to bus driver Reynold who expertly navigated us across the beautiful Wilmot Pass with funny antidotes along the way.
We were greeted by Skipper Blake and Katie's crew who welcomed us aboard and could not have been more helpful.
The food was sensational, thank you Fir. The service, cleanliness and professionalism from everyone was superb from beginning to end.
Enjoyed Div's wonderful slide show and endless knowledge about the area.
This experience is a must do on anyones bucket list.

Treated to a stunning sky on the way, we headed straight for the hill.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KiwiKerry53Wellington, New Zealand4,580 contributionsWe had a picturesque drive from Invercargill, the male having some how estimated the drive time as the cycling time! The bonus was a fabulous sunrise sky before arriving at bluff. The iconic sign and kiwi saying "from Cape Reinga to Bluff" makes sense for the other half now.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
