Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Emma C4 contributionsAbsolutely Beautiful. Highly recommend. We visited by bus from Cala egos. The bus stop is right there which was perfect. Picnic benches , good space on the beach and good walks around.Written 9 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - S Beckett10 contributionsAlthough still very busy, this was the nicest beach we found in the area near to Cala D’or. The sea is crystal clear and lovely to swim in - lots of boats on the edge of the cove but restricted from coming in too close.
Take a sunshade as there aren’t many to rent. The beach bar does tasty sandwiches and ice coffees and is reasonably priced 👍🏻Written 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is a small cove so must get very crowded in peak season and parking is tricky although there is ample free parking in the resort at the top of town but you will have to walk down and back up!Written 11 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Minou A1 contributionIt’s so nice there! Crowded for sure especially in the sand - but it’s also at the cliffs comfy and crazy view 🥲 water clear and blue, sun is holding on for so long in October. So you can stay there until evening :) also there are a lot of parking lots BUT somebody got in our car during our stay at stole just our cash. Did it happened to someone? Super creepy!!Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mohit KhullarMalmö, Sweden30 contributionsEs Pontàs is an absolutely stunning natural rock arch, and visiting it was one of the highlights of my trip to Mallorca. The views are simply breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset when the golden light makes the arch glow beautifully.
The spot is easily accessible by a short walk from the parking area, but there are no fences or safety barriers, so be cautious near the edges. The viewpoint offers a fantastic perspective, and if you're lucky, you might even see rock climbers attempting deep-water soloing on the arch—truly an impressive sight!
I’d highly recommend bringing a camera, as the scenery is picture-perfect. There are no facilities nearby, so plan accordingly. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or just looking for a peaceful place to admire Mallorca’s coastline, Es Pontàs is definitely worth a visit! 🌊✨Written 25 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Richard C5 contributionsBeautiful scenic coves next to each other. Have to park in free car park on main road and walk to Cala as road access is for residents only and yellow lines on the roads. We did see the local police patrolling the area while we were there.
Follow the singposts for the Cala from the car park entrance and after walking for arround 15mins there is a signpost indicating straight on to the cliff path to Cao del Moro. The sign indicates in Spanish that this path is treacherous, in places it is, although we did see many people walking it in flip flops with their beach towels under their arms, then returning, as there isn't a beach there or any facilities. The walk is picturesque but definately not suitable for young children or anyone of a nervous disposition.
If instead, you turn right where the signpost is (painted on the road you will see a very faint arrow pointing to "Playa") you follow the local road to the end where a flight of steps take you down to Cala s'Almunia. From this pretty cove there is an easy walk to the headland overlooking Calo del Moro where you can walk down to the waters edge.
The place is definitely worth a visit though there is limited space to put a towel down on the rocks.Written 2 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Encouraged by last review, we also took local 515 bus (their website was good) from Cala D’or (Cala Egos district). Even at 8.50 first bus was full but second bus appeared 👍. Standing room only.
Bus dropped off in Santanyí (make a note of dropping off point as return pick up is on opposite side of road - I dropped a pin on Google maps). About 5 min walk to market proper.
Market sprawls around the ancient church and rambling streets. Mostly crafts, leather, jewellery, clothes etc. A few really good food stalls/fruit and veg, perfect if you are self catering. Unsurprisingly, it was well supported by holidaying visitors from across Europe particularly Germany. Local shops and restaurants were all open and well worth a look. Bought a great baguette lunch with a pastry.
All in all a great thing to do 👍😃Written 30 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The gallery owner is not pushy, but gives friendly and professional advice. A real insider tip for art lovers. The works of art on display come from both up-and-coming international artists and established artists.Written 31 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lovisgug153 contributionsBeautiful white sand beach where you have to bring along everything especially a sun umbrella if you want to spend more than 1 hour there.
After a 1 hour walk over lava stone terrain you are rewarded with a not so crowded wide sandy beach with shallow turquoise water.
Be prepared to meet people as mother nature made them, since this beach is popular with nudists.Written 15 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Lindsey G3 contributionsCliff jumpers seemed to be having a great time. Just beware that there is no beach to speak of so everyone is set up on the rocks, little uncomfortable for sunbathing. Water-shoes are an absolute must here. Out of the many beautiful beaches Majorca has to offer I wouldn’t recommend this one for young families. Definitely more of a 20 somethings vibe, beer, music and people selling and smoking weed. But enjoyed it! Note: Be prepared for a 20ish min walk from any parking option, ending with some steep steps down the cliff side.Written 30 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LiztravelsandeatsHaarlem, The Netherlands1,060 contributionsThis is a great small beach with beautiful clear blue water. - Paul BWarwick, UK214 contributionsNice market with plenty of stalls, rammed busy but thins out towards 2pm. Good market if you want local stuff, jewellery or knock of stuff!
