The Basilica and grounds are lovely and the views of the mountains and chapel in the cave are worth the visit.
This is a definite detour to most people's itinerary in Spain but its a gorgeous site surrounded by beautiful green mountains and cheap places to eat.

So pleased we went here, the roman bridge is stunning, beautiful setting with fantastic views of the fast flowing river and mountains in the background.
It has a high pointed arch shape, with a metallic Asturian cross hanging from the top of the arch, through which you get an amazing view of the mountains and river behind.
