A lovely park with water features, other sculptures, beautiful palms and a great children's play park. We seen a little motorised train thing go past but didn't go on it but it would be good to see the park if it was too hot or with someone with mobility issues.

Very nice visit, quiet and amazing palms and cactus.
Also the free guide on the website is well organised. The Imperial Palm is great, I loved it!

Nice shopping mall, moderate size, super clean and fresh. Wide range of shops and restaurants. Free parking, outdoor or indoor.

Best beach in my opinion. Everyone should go here at least once and bring picnic with friends when you are free and then go for lunch at Bobby Khalistani’s Indian Kitchen not zafaran restaurant in Santa pola which has bad in food.

My daughter and I visited this zoo after she noticed the zoo’s marketing brochure at Alicante airport. Alas for my pocket! The zoo seemed very quiet when we arrived (low season in Dec) but in the end, i found it to be surprisingly enjoyable.

In particular, the 15-minute tram ride in a safari-style setting was the highlight of our visit, and compensated for our disappointment at seeing some empty enclosures seemingly devoid of any animals (however hard we tried to look for them).

There is also a live show just before closing time, but we missed it.

The admission fees are rather steep. It is cheaper to buy the tickets online — you will get a 4 Euro discount. Similarly, if you present the brochure at the ticket booth, you will get this discount too. You will also get a discount if you turn up after 3pm, but bear in mind that the park closes at 6pm in Dec.

If you only have limited time to spend at the zoo, you may want to turn up just after 3pm, so that you can get onto the tram ride which starts at 3.30pm, then walk around the place, and finally attend the live show at 5.15pm.

It was very easy for us to get to the zoo from Alicante. We took the intercity bus to Santa Pola, and then bus 255 which dropped us just outside the zoo,

However, to go back to Santa Pola, there is no bus stop outside ! We had to walk more than 15 minutes to the bus stop, after frantically asking some kind Samaritans for help !

The view from the top was worth all the steps. There is different levels you can take a break at on the way up that includes some very interesting information. We went there around 6 in the evening and were glad we did. Being a little cooler made the climb to the top easier and it wasn't busy so we could really enjoy the different levels

After an absence of 5 years we revisited and it was as good as ever.
We visited for dinner and although it is now much larger restaurant all was as good.
A nice touch is when the owner/chef comes to your table at the end of the meal and has a general conversation

So, what is not to like.
A very pleasant and interesting park to walk around. We didn't have nearly enough time to explore it properly and were really only using it as a cut through from A to B. I wish we had had longer. Interesting pools, towers and trees, very photogenic. As it was free was better than the palm garden as more varied.
    Good play area.

The Spanish excel with their museums and this was no exception. It's smaller than most, but it has some very large exhibits, as one might expect and provides a good couple of hours' inspection for the enthusiast. The introductory video can be played in English and sets the scene perfectly for what you are about to see in the rest of the exhibition. Admittedly, not every single item is documented in English, but the non-Spanish speaker would only need a small degree of imagination to identify certain objects! There were no children in our group, but we could appreciate how much the size charts and the opportunities for tactile experiences would appeal to them. Staff were efficient and friendly and the entrance fee of 2 Euros, or even 1 Euro for concessions, was more than reasonable! It could be a little difficult to find, since it's not really at Calle Sant Joan 3, from a GPS point of view, but tucked in the Plaza Sant Joan, off the main road and almost looks like a shop front. Even so, well worth a visit, for all age groups.
