Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent. It is currently being reconstructed but Karen who we spoke to was so informative and spent sometime with us explaining what it will be like when it is all completed. We so enjoyed hearing her knowledge. Thank you Karen.Written 26 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sally G7 contributionsWow! Totally surprised this is not higher up the "things to do" list on trip advisor.
We met Alet one of the owners at the milking shed in the afternoon. She was so welcoming and got us sorted with overalls, gumboots and refreshments.
We were taken around the milking shed and even got our own chance to milk a cow. Alet had a great indepth knowledge of how the farm and industry works. After trying some delicious fresh milk, we travelled in a trailer pulled by Massey Ferguson tractor to go on tour around the farm. I was impressed with how highly maintained it is and could appreciate the passion and love that the owners and staff put in.
During the drive around we met Alet's husband Phil & his son Jimmy. Both are lovely are seem to just love their farm.
We got to see the second milking shed, feed some calves and meet the piggies.
I didn't want the tour to end as the information was so interesting.
I would reccomend this tour, dairy is such a big part of NZ, I feel like it's a great way to see the work and faces behind that bottle of milk & block of cheese etc.
Thank you for holding these tours.Written 16 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our room was spacious and had everything you could possibly want. The breakfast was 5 star with homemade jams, biscuits and seasonal produce.
Barry took us out on a windy day but he managed to keep us out of the wind. He's local knowledge was amazing.
Diane made us a beautiful lunch and we continued fishing until 630. They also helped us plan the rest of our holiday, so we didn't miss attractions that we would have without there recommendations. Can't wait to return as
so many of there visitors! We are hooked!Written 7 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I caught a huge 8lb brown trout on a dry fly and it was most certainly the biggest trout I have ever caught in my life. Very friendly and knows the rivers all around Gore and Matarua because has fished these rivers all his life.Written 15 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
