We stopped by in this beautiful church for some time and see the beauty inside and the great view outside.

We got a multi site visit for the palace, castle and the museum of Alberto Sampaio which is only about a 5 to 10 mins walk from the Palace you pass through the praca da Oliveira to get to it.
We declined the opportunity to view the exhibition of Portuguese siege engines but did combine our ticket with admission to the Museo Alberto Sampaio, which I would recommend.

For my six-year-old it was also memorable because the stairs and supports are built in so you can climb up and explore the top turrets of the castle, and get the strategic view.
The castle was declared a national monument in 1910 and the town as a whole is a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as a former European Capital of Culture.
