Cherry Grove Beach North Myrtle Beach
#101 of 754 Outdoor Activities in Coastal South Carolina
Match: Beaches
We love Cherry Grove Beach and prefer it over other beaches in NC and SC! It's a great family beach, and in a great location.
It's one of the prettiest beaches around and the inlet is good for fishing when the tide is in and beautiful to walk when the tide is out.

It's the way beaches are supposed to be: uncrowded, clean, beautiful sand and water, with amazing bonus Dolphins.
Being from Seattle, I rarely get to see sandy beaches with warm water, so I loved every bit of it.

... at the entrance as well with lots of friendly people to help you out if you get lost like me! I've always lived on the water and near beaches, and the speech is very inviting and the water was absolutely perfect.
In addition to beautiful beaches and great golf, Hilton Head and the area around it are exceptionally rich in history.

Low key and classy yet close enough to Charleston and so much more to do! Wide beaches, biking and family time is exactly what isle of palm offers!

The beaches are a hard sand that makes it easy for strolling on the beach, setting out chairs and umbrellas and enjoying the wide sandy spread.
Our family has visited a number of beaches both on the east and west coasts and we fell in love with Folly Field Beach.

If you are staying a few days and like to sun on the beautiful beaches, buy a beach chair and store it in your car.
And the beach, well, it's pretty much the same as all of the beaches down here, where the shallow continental shelf allows you to walk a half mile out to sea.

I hear that there are “fancy” beaches in South Carolina, but if you are in Charleston and are looking for a clean beach with easy access and good facilities , this is a great place.

We were there a few weeks after hurricane Matthew came through, so the beaches were pretty damaged, but I think that made it even more beautiful.
Adjectives to describe Folly Beach County Park- clean, quiet, off the beaten path, quaint/quirky town, mid- week summer getaway with ample parking, gentle waves ( we were there from 2-6pm).

This beautiful place is a 'must-see' that combines a gorgeous nature walk with a look back at the history of the island, We saw butterflies, egrets and more, and the beach area is simply gorgeous.
Beach was excellent, plenty of parking, right behind our condo - great way to relax and leave the world behind - we relaxed and got our feet wet, and then got all wet.

The lighthouse views are nice but if you can spend some time and take a walk on the beach you will be rewarded with beautiful scenery and maybe some dolphins will entertain you.
The inlet is divine, beach-combing serene, shells galore this year, very photogenic and we even seen a dolphin pod-our first!!!

After30 minutes we landed on Bulls Island, and had a very hot but very rewarding walk through jungle-like forests, marshes, and an almost deserted beach to the boneyard beach.
It is often closed in September/ October due to hunters , but was worth re-scheduling to a Sunday when open to walkers to see this unique awe inspiring beach.
