Fort Sumter visitor center in Charleston provides visitors with a well balanced historical overview of Fort Sumter as well as slavery, Charleston area and the civil war.
The Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center provided lots of information about the history of Fort Sumter and made for the perfect start of the boat trip.

on every trip we go to i will always stop at these ..these welcome centers can save you so much money and time on your trip and they always have free drinks and snacks and clean bathrooms!
The real MB Visitor's Center is located on 1200 N Oak Street in a clean, contemporary building with very helpful staff who's only intent is to make sure you are comfortable with your surroundings.
