*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
Everything was awesome. The guide was on time and very friendly and informative, the wineries included a wide selection of wines and very friendly owners who explained everything, and the people on the tour were fun. The lunch (more like a a selection of tasty appetizers plate) was yummy also.
Our day at the farm and winery was amazing! The day far exceeded our expectations! The farm was incredible to see with picturesque landscapes. Lunch was exceptional and delicious! Our guide Simon was incredible.
We had accidentally booked the wrong date for the tour initially but Geoff and Joy were a pleasure to work with and got everything squared away without any issues!!
Interesting trip. In the company of some hard core fans of the Lord of the Rings movies. Their passion was captivating but could not match it. Driver and guide was very entertaining and learned a lot from him about the trilogy of movies.
Started with a driving tour of Christchurch and learned about their devastating earthquake 14 years ago. Enjoyed a stop at a garden along the way. Then visited 3 wineries in the Waipara wine country - enjoyed the beauty of the countryside as well as each of the wineries. Had a nice lunch at the second winery. Our bus held 16 people - nice size and we had good people and a nice driver. This would have been a 5 star trip except for 2 things - one was the stop at the overlook was crammed with way too many people and buses at the same time which made it hard to enjoy and the bathrooms were very limited. The other was our driver had problems with his microphone so I think he didn’t share as many stories as we were driving.
We recently booked a group winery tour, and it was an exceptional experience. This was our first time booking a winery tour, and we highly recommend this tour company. Their prompt and efficient communication was highly impressive.
We did two day tours out of Christchurch with Cheeky Kea, and they were awesome. Paul took us to Kaikoura, and showed us exactly what we'd hoped to see. Magical day. Diane took us to Mt Cook, and she was full of information and fun to talk with. Both tours felt personalized, and well worth the money.
We actually had a private Christchurch private tour of Christchurch and the surrounding area. Our guide was Mandy and she was fantastic! She asked what we were interested in and we mentioned street art, cultural places, recovery from the earthquake and aftershocks etc. She showed us many examples of street are during the day - some so stunning - one was a 3D of the storefronts that had been destroyed by the earthquake - so cool. We visited many places in the city including the catherdral, riverside market and so much more. We then drove into the hills above the city and had breathtaking views of Christchurch. Our recommendation is to ask for Mandy if you want to learn about the city and have a very pleasant day.
I had a stop in Christchurch before meeting friends in Australia and love wine and golf so this was an easy pick to do for a free day. I am so grateful I did. I had a great 18 holes and then three winery tastings. I can’t say enough about the day except that I would have gradly paid double for the experience. Grant picked me up where I was staying and as my personal guide for the day. In addition to playing Pegasus Golf which was a very modern and playable but beautiful course, the three wineries were personal and fun and had a great boutique experience. I highly recommend this company.
Such a fabulous experience. Saw the city and surrounds like never before with easy fun commentary. A relaxed but exciting day and worth every $. Would throughly recommend
