He was there on time and he gave us clear instructions and very good commentary.
Devils waterfall walk has lots of steps!
Good scenery views from the train.
Coffee on train was good too.

Our driver, Clive, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also had a fantastic sense of humor that kept us laughing throughout the journey. He shared fascinating facts about the landscapes, wildlife, and local history, making every stop feel special. The views were breathtaking, from dramatic mountain ranges to peaceful valleys, and Clive's lively commentary added so much to the trip. We appreciated hearing his own stories from growing up in the area. Clive was an outstanding and friendly guide who enhanced every stop with engaging stories and historical knowledge. His expert driving meant we felt completely safe while making the most of our time. - black325Prescott Valley, AZ370 contributionsWe had a wonderful tour with Graeme as our driver/guide. Yes, it is a long drive but the scenery is well worth it. We chose the pre-ordered lunch and both my husband and I enjoyed the selection. An added bonus was that we were able to see 2 keas outside the cafe. I must give kudos to Graeme for his patience with 2 of our fellow cruisers on the bus. They wanted to go to sites that apparently their third party vendor said was included but as Graeme pointed out it would possibly make us late for the last shuttle back to the ship. One of them constantly yelled out to finish Graeme's sentences. He handle all like a pro & managed to squeeze in one of their requests. windows for viewing the great scenery. You can download an app which describes the different areas as you pass them. He was safety-conscious, and navigated the mountainous roads and one-lane tracks with ease. His vehicle was spacious, clean and comfortable. He knew the best places to eat, rest, take walks and snap good photographs. E.g. we stopped at Castle Hill, which looked exactly like a Lord of the Rings scene, although it was not the actual set. While he was a good conversationist as he drove, he also let us take naps when we needed it. He was accommodating towards our requests to tweak the itinerary, including last minute requests, like jet boating on the Waimakariri River. - Ryan D5 contributionsWe were group of 4 an initially thought the tour was a bit pricey. But after comparing everything included like 4 to 5 star hotels with breakfast, tickets to famous activities, a comfy vehicle, and more, we found it was actually great value for money, so we booked it. To our surprise everything went beyond our expectations! The guide, Raghav, was super helpful and made sure everything went seamless. The mix of travel, fun activities, and time to relax was just perfect. We loved ending each day in a comfortable and luxurious hotels as we don't prefer camping or staying in motorhomes. We were also given options of hotel at each location for selection. We had tricky last minute request to return to Christchurch and Raghav effortlessly arranged us a flight to Christchurch. If you want an easy, well-planned trip with great service, flexibility and no hassle, this tour is a fantastic choice.
