- Jan7 contributionsWhat a great experience. A small group of 6 paddled out through the waves from the beach to Donut Island. Not overly hard work paddling so most could do it. Going through the cave entrance into the inner lagoon surrounded by internal cliffs & overhanging trees was amazing. Even more interesting was seeing the waves coming through the cave towards you - I can understand why the trip can't run when the swell is too high. But they are very safety conscious & we felt perfectly at ease. And then to land an another island in the group was an added bonus.
