Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely place to visit, it's free, plenty of parking around on the streets, we visit once a year. We don't know if it's when we visitd, but the animal count seems to be down by alot. Great for all, small cafe on site as well.

I was there in May as it is quite at that time of year. The crowds have not yet arrived.

The best time to walk here is in the early morning when it is fresh, not cold and quiet and peaceful.

It’s so nice to come down here slightly out of season.
You literally get the beach to yourself. It offers fabulous walks and with the views of the sea , it certainly makes for a great afternoon.

Big parking space, plenty of stools, places to have breakfast and a good selection of fruit and vegetables.
Go early, otherwise you will be queing in traffic till you are able to get the parking place

The beaches are cleaned by machine every morning in high season.
Sun beds are available to hire with a fixed umbrella and the beach bar is open in season.
The beach bar 'Blue Monkey' has changed hands and offers more now, although the girls are sometimes a little sultry.
The cocktails were lovely and served in glasses (not plastic) and the new seating allowed us to sit on the beach drinking at the end of the day.
There is a portable loo which is usually reasonably clean
Life guards walk up and down the beach advising of rips etc which is a great bonus

In summer it is packed with beach goers and an abundance of cafes and local restaurants. Some downsides for us are the many street sellers and some litter on the beach. However, overall it has a good vibe and energy so it’s a place we would come back to.

Grab an ice cream, kick back, relax and observe. See how calm and easy going life is in Guardamar. It's not a must see but it's nice. Well worth the sit-down.

Worth the short walk uphill to the Castle. Interesting storyboards with history of the castle through different time periods.
Newly paved footpaths within castle grounds.
    Free entry

Housed in the modern cultural centre building on the edge of the town (follow Colon Street from the town hall/main square) this probably exceeded our expectations.

The museum gives an interesting overview of the history of the town from pre-history to the 20th century. Most of the signs have English translation and there is no admission fee.

Toilets and a drinks vending are available on the ground floor. All in all, a pleasant and interesting way to end our short break in Guardamar.
