- Deborah T6 contributionsFantastic place lots of lovely bars and restaraunts and interesting shops. Lovely walkways around the marina and ideally placed to visi t playa blanca townWritten 18 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wilsonjennyWirral, UK698 contributionsEasy jaunt up the mini mountain that dominates Playa Blanca and El Faro area of Lanzarote. Spectacular views from the summit. Good trainers or walking boots recommended as well as walking poles if usually used (not essential). Can be very windy too.Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RamblerNewcastle upon Tyne, UK567 contributionsThe largest ‘town’ beach in the area. Beautiful sand and easy access for swimming and watersports.
Sunbeds were €6 each when we were there but you can just take your own stuff. There are a couple of beach bars if you want drinks/food. Drinks are ok - the food isn’t great but there a other restaurant just above too.
Not a large beach so get your lounger early.
Nice views of both ports and across to Fuertaventura.Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My own wedding, the birth of family members, birthdays and celebrations alike have left me numb and ashamed..
But here, amidst the volcanic whispers and the Atlantic's serene gaze, I discovered more than just a spoon. I discovered joy, a curious feeling I’d not experienced before. The purest joy overwhelmed me like a tidal wave of emotion, and I fell to my knees and wept. Wept for the beauty of the world, wept for the life I could have had, wept for the spoon. This masterpiece, a glorious fusion of utility and permanence, invoked a sense of joy so profound, it could only be rivaled by the flight of Spring’s first butterflies.
I am a man changed. A spoon. Enrobed in concrete. And a life changed.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Promenade is beautiful for walking and hanging out. Lots of shops around not just cheap Chinese shops selling the same thing one shop after another. Great restos. And of course th e FABULOUS beachWritten 25 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jayne LVillanueva de la Canada, Spain23 contributionsthis is lovely beach with calm, clear water protected from the larger waves, so it is perfect for families with young children. Unlike playa dorada at the other end of playa blanca it is not full of rentable sun loungers so there is a lot more room, especially at high tide. The only downsides were the constant smell of food from the restaurants that overlook the beach and the lack of public toilets.Written 16 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,223 contributionsBeautiful stretch of coastline with a nice concrete path running along with superb views of the cliffs and waves crashing into them. Lots of benches to sit and enjoy the views as wellWritten 17 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LJ-SuthTilford, UK325 contributionsThis is a really fabulous thing to do while on holiday in Lanzarote. We went with the Rubicon Dive Centre which is right on the quayside. Even though we don't have any diving certification, we were able to do a "trial dive" for £130 each. This consists of a morning training session in water aout 5m deep then an afternoon trip to the museum which is a 10 minute boat ride away. After that were were able to enjoy the full experience which is roughly 45 minutes at a depth of down to 12 metres. Water temp was 21c and the wetsuit they gave us was perfect, not feeling at all cold.
The museum itself is really incredible. every exhibit is thought-provoking and was clearly attractive to local sealife. We
saw a decent variety of fish plus a playful octopus and a huge manta ray, which was exciting.
Definitely do.Written 29 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once you drive carefully you should make it fine and then you can descend to the rock pools which teem with crabs and other sea life. The power of the ocean is at display here but you can find sheltered pools even at high tide. As other reviews mentioned be sure to wear decent footwear climbing down but it’s nothing extreme.Written 14 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK1,223 contributionsIt's a castle thing on a rock. But more worth it for the views of the sea crashing into the rocks. Also a nice walk along Paseo Maritimi to get thereWritten 17 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura M23 contributionsWe visited on New Year’s Day. The water was fine - please ignore comments that the water is freezing… it was not warm, but pleasant.
Friendly staff. Toilets and changing facilities were clean and tidy. Take sliders or thongs as the floors are gritted concrete which is uncomfortable in parts.
All in all, much better value than at other water parks we’ve been to such as AquaLand on Gran Canaria. 1) Free parking outside. 2) Lockers require a 4€ deposit, but look secure - we had no issues. 3) Food was OK, but reasonable in price. 4) Use of seating is free of charge - they are not sun loungers but are comfy enough.
Lazy river was good fun, children’s area has a number of smaller slides, and splash pool style attractions. Then two slides you use an inflatable on, and three normal slides - all of which were good fun for both the young children and the adults in our party. Wave pool runs once an hour but is also enjoyable just as a nice pool. Worth a visit for all families, we spent the whole day there but we noted a lot left before the day was up.Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
