Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was a bit sceptical at first, but the guides were simply ezcellent. Authentic, knowledgable, experienced men with an obvious passion for history and mining. Strongly recommended.

Actually we picked cherries in January 2022 and did a takeaway...but reason for this review is the REALLY amazingly quick courier service...Son Nick picked them just a day ago and we had them delivered to our front door 18 hours later ..Cromwell to Paihia in Northland. Well done on choosing a great courier company !!

A cute little precinct worth a stop enroute to Wānaka from Queenstown. A few shops were closed on Monday, so don’t count on everything being open. A great place to sit along the lake and let your day pass by.

We always stop here when going past. Friendly service with a smile. Prices have certainly increased on the dried fruit but I guess everyone else has too.

A great round walk of approximately 60mins through what seemed like a US western landscape. Great views throughout. Fairly easy walking on good tracks. Highly recommended

My wife and I visited here as part of a Wanahaka tour, which we definitely recommend. Although there is a lot of land development going on the tasting room and restaurant were excellent. We had a cheese board along with a tasting of several wines. The pinot gris is sublime! The vision and forward thinking of the owner will mean this will be an even better experience in the future. We left with a nice selection of pinot gris, riesling, blondie and pinot noir. Definitely put it on your visit list.

We were welcomed by Brigitte to the Scott Base wine tasting room in Cromwell. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wine tasting was good and so was the food we ordered (Pate & Pickles and Trio of Nibbles). Highly recommend you make a booking in advance.

I stayed for a week and the weather fluctuated between very hot and very cold - whatever the weather it is always beautiful. Lots of eateries to choose from and beautiful walking tracks. A good base to visit other places in the area.

Nice big fruit sculpture that signifies the fruit growing region. Has a car park close by with a small skate park and playground. Has a lot of roadworks beside it currently as housing development going close by. There is a nice bakery close by too. A great stop for kids to run around and play.

knowledgeable volunteer and enthusiastic staff tell the history about the town.
small entrance but plenty of cultural relic.
highly recommend to stay for half~ 1 hour browsing after your lunch in the town centre.

    小鎮的舊貌,淹水前後的變遷,華人淘金的移民史,絕種生物的骨跡,你想知道的Cromwel歷史都在這。當然,可口的櫻桃私房情報也是

What a fabulous tour this was - Nathalie was brilliant, so knowledgable about wine and the industry as a whole. We learnt so much and had so many wonderful tastings - I really enjoyed it. I've done tastings before, but this was really the best. Relaxed, not rushed, interesting and no hard sell to buy any of the wines..... (but I did buy a few as they were delicious!)
