What travellers are saying
- RamblingJimboCalgary, Canada130 contributionsThis is a beautiful formal garden an hour east of Barcelona. It was great in October so I’m sure it would be fantastic earlier in the year. The views of the Mediterranean are stunning.Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sirenita123Coventry, UK1,691 contributionsAmazing coves, views and beautiful walks along the coastal path. Various beaches to choose from and they all kept beautifully clean. Safe area for swimming on all beaches. A variety of restaurants on the beachfront with delicious range of seafoods or tapas. Fabulous ice-cream shop too. No high-rise hotel and the feel of a real Spanish town - so refreshing. My first visit to this area but I’m returning next year too. Highly recommended.Written 15 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain11,524 contributionsLa plata de Tamariu is a sandy beach located in the homonymous little town in Costa Brava Region. In fact, it is one of the typical places in the zone. We came here in a hike from Palamós and finish in Tamariu, so we could relax in the beach zone and see very nice views of the coast, the town and the Mediterranean Sea. We came here the last month, in January, so it was almost empty of people. Very relaxing place.Written 3 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- akhaneBarcelona, Spain11 contributionsVery peaceful, at first we thought it was packed (but it's just small), Ideal avoiding the mass and for snorkelling. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain11,524 contributionsFar de Sant Sebastià is a lighthouse located between Llafranc and Calella de Palafrugell. It is a very known lighthouse, from where you can see very nice views of the coast and the Mediterranean Sea. We came here to hike from Palamós and it was a very beautiful place. Very nice.

Any visitor to the Costa Brava does well to understand Catalyuna's historical dominance of the world market, and how important cork was (far beyond stoppers for bottles), thus serving as a foundation of Catalan pride, industry, and influence.
Start with the film, and don't miss the photos and art made with cork on the upper floor. There is good signage in English, but we wished there was a bit more information overall on this interesting subject (the museum is new and still under development, so this will probably improve). The exhibits are perhaps a bit static for children's interests, but an adult could add enough to make it interesting.
Entrance fee is very modest, and the museum is also open on Sunday mornings, making it easy to combine with a visit to the open-air market next door.Written 8 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Come June, July and August it is extremely crowded!Written 27 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen PGirona, Spain923 contributionsBy chance we decided to visit on the inaugoral day of a new exhibition, Localismes Universals (open until early May '22). What a treat! Not only a huge selection of Catalan contemporary sculpture artists on permanent display but an insight into the variety of painters and sculptors who live in the region. Beautifully displayed so that you can take photos and enjoy some research at a later date.Written 7 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
