The Rainbow Falls Trail at Gorges State Park is the only place we have found that combines a somewhat strenuous hike with three impressive waterfalls.

Gift shop was also nice, with some nature information displays set up and an area with binoculars to look at the view and compare it with a map showing the towns nearby.
It's a great place to park and take pictures of both sides of mountain, small gift shop with a park Ranger.

I've heard that the trail to Windy Falls can be accessed from Gorges State Park.
There's a metal stake 50-100 yards past the border of Gorges Park on the Rainbow Falls Trail (actually called the Grassy Ridge trail) which you follow off to the left.

They should allow that parking lot to buy the tickets and then you can park on the other side.
