These attractions were great (especially for the Tolkien fan in our family), the day was well planned and the whole experience was made better by our knowledgeable and informative guide Brenda. Easy walk through the caves which was informative
There are some glow worms before the main ones that were interesting to see
Getting onto the boat and your seat you have to be nimble on your feet. Sadly my seat had a pool of water so soaking jeans and underwear not so good when you have a bad back and are travelling all day and on a plane that evening! Luckily had a change of clothes!
The glow worm cave was good would have liked to be able to take photos or video with no lights but not allowed

What an amazing way to experience the glow worm caves. Kaizer took his time to explain things to us about the cave, and we did not feel rushed at all. It was an amazing experience all round. John, our driver, gave us lots of information about NZ and answered all our questions. John also gave me lots of tips for my stay in Rotorua. I would definitely recommend. The ability to customize our day was great! He was very professional, but personal. The car was beautiful and stocked with water and snacks! Hermes shows us every beautiful scenery while on our way. Something interesting about diary cows and sheep and the nature. Edson takes us to the Waitomo trip and drive us back to Auckland. Waitomo is something you never want to miss. We also visit a dam somewhere in the nearby town, which is so beautiful! - Kelly W2 contributionsMy boyfriend and I took this day trip with Experience Kart to the Waitomo Glowworm and Ruakuri Twin Cave. We have been driving all around the North Island and wanted to give my boyfriend a break from driving. The pickup and drop off from our hotel in central Auckland was smooth and the drive to the cave was relaxing in the van. Our driver and tour guide, Karthik, gave a great tour with fun little tidbits of New Zealand.
The glowworm cave itself was amazing, but the addition of the Ruakuri Cave made the drive worth it.
