These attractions were great (especially for the Tolkien fan in our family), the day was well planned and the whole experience was made better by our knowledgeable and informative guide Brenda. The ability to customize our day was great! He was very professional, but personal. The car was beautiful and stocked with water and snacks! - Ruoyu Y4 contributionsThe trip to Waitapu and Waitomo is so great and definitely worth the price. Hermes and Edson help us with everything. Hermes shows us every beautiful scenery while on our way. Something interesting about diary cows and sheep and the nature. Edson takes us to the Waitomo trip and drive us back to Auckland. Waitomo is something you never want to miss. Both were so knowledgeable, friendly, and lovely. We also lucked out with the tour guides we had at Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves, as they made the tours so enjoyable. - Santi M5 contributionsI searched online for a private tour to two specific destinations around Aukland, the Waitomo Caves and Hobbiton. Time Unlimited offered the services so chose them.
I was sent texts and messages via Tripadvisor to confirm details. It sort of put me at ease because it helped confirm that the date and time was correct for the booking.
We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Aukland by John. One of the most incredible tour guides I have had. I've done private tours in other countries and John is exceptional and knowledgeable.
My party was taken to both sites in a comfortable car with lots of room and plenty of snacks! When we reached our destination I felt like a VIP the way John handled the entrance of Waitomo and Hobbiton.
Since we were able to complete the tour on the early side he drove us around the city of Aukland which was a bonus.

- Enikő B8 contributionsI loved this tour, this is the perfect way to spend your day off or your free time if you are on a holiday in my opinion. Special thanks to our tour guide and driver, Mark, who is super friendly and made the long drive a lot more interesting. The ruakuri walking cave tour was amazing, we got to take many pictures and had time to just stand in the pitch black and admire all the glowworms surrounding us. Lunch was yummy and it was a lot, also it had our names on the packaging(I love little details like that 🤩). And Hobbiton was wonderful just as expected. - Junghwa k1 contributionFirst, we went to Hobbiton. From there, we saw lots of Hobbit houses. There were lots of clothes hanging from the dryer. It was very cute because it was very small and was looking just like clothes that hobbits would wear. Second, we went to bluesprings. The water's color was amazing and it was very beautiful. It was green, blue,and it was a little bit yellow. It was the best water I've ever seen in my life! Third we went to a cave with a bunch of glowworms living there. It was amazing! This was the first time i saw it! I loved it! I really recommand you to buy this.
