Deb’s horses are so well trained - an absolute pleasure to ride. At first I was a bit worried as there were 2 beginners with us and I thought they may slow our ride but often throughout the ride Debbie would take the beginners ahead and the three of us would canter /gallop to catch up. Most horses would be jumpy hanging back but not these horses! Perfectly chilled. Deb gave us such a great tour of the back country , teaching us about the history, flora and fauna constantly. She also took photos and videos and sent them to us afterwards. It was a pleasant 1 hour 20 from Queenstown but well worth it. I feel blessed to have seen the remote, hard to get access to areas of New Zealand. - MiniElli F3 contributionsIt was my first horseriding experience and they made it a great one for me! My guide Louise was very lovely and encouraging. She explained lots of details as we walked through the trail, answered all my questions and added some other knowledge too.
Horses are well-maintained and trained.
It was very worth it and I definitely recommend coming for a ride regardless of your riding experience!

We cantered a lot, which I appreciated a lot as an experienced rider, plus there is this beautiful scenery with lupin flowers, sheep, cows and deers which is just breathtaking. Kel is a great guide and I really liked her great energy. During the trek, she told me a lot about the history of the place, which I found very interesting. Dembe was such a lovely horse. I have to say that it was the best riding trek I've ever had so far.
