Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Big thanks to Fielding who brought us our skis, boots and poles and took his time to ensure the boots fit and we were happy. On time and great service

Rented hard tail Mountain Bikes for local trails - extremely friendly service, good info, reasonable price, excellent bikes. We were an hour late returning - asked us if we planned to ride again. We said sure, and they said don’t worry about the late return. Thumbs up.

We only wanted to hire ski equipment for a day or two and wanted a good price so we gave Green Toad a try. Price is the same for 1 or 2 days hire . The staff were so accommodating- let us hire for 2 days but bring back early for a refund if we only wanted 1 day hire. Booked premium gear which was still much cheaper than other places. We ski a LOT so wanted decent gear. The skis were great. The boots were a bit worn but still comfortable and completely fine for a day or two of skiing . Would definitely come back next time

Great service and experience with the staff at the Base.
We got excellent rental gear with experienced advice from a really friendly technician.
Nothing was a problem and checking our registered details from a previous rental earned us a credit.
We will be back and happily recommend to others.

The person helping us had a pretty big chip on his shoulder. Also, I wouldn't recommend getting a hard-tail unless you're only riding on roads. The trails are fairly rocky and unless you have either a very soft butt or an iron butt, you won't appreciate the rough ride. You should also check that there's enough tread on the tires: my front was fine but the back was worn and I didn't notice until I started sliding on some loose up- and downhills.

I wish I had gone to Racer's Edge and gotten full suspension (even though it costs more). Their staff were also more friendly (when we went in to browse).

But we had two very nice rides. The first was out one side and back on the other of the Clutha River. About 30 miles round trip but not much elevation gain. It was very scenic and mostly beginner with a couple of short intermediate sections. The second ride was along the lake to Glendhu Bay. This had more intermediate sections due to switchbacks, some steep sections, and loose rock. But it was also very scenic. It was about 20 miles round trip.

Loved this bike park as it is able to be enjoyed by almost everyone. The trail surface is fantastic, best i have ever encountered in a bike park. Loved the views from falcons nest. Highly recommend.
