Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This tour was a highlight in many ways. The views were fabulous. The most important part of the trip was the tour guide Wayne. He was informative, funny and went above and beyond in many ways. We can’t thank him enough.

We had the BEST day on the wine tour in Wanaka with Michelle!! Michelle is so friendly, kind and fun to be around plus she knows so much about the area and lots of experience with wine tours in Napa and tours around NZ. We learned a ton about the area and also loved getting to hear about Michelle's background too. We really enjoyed all 4 wineries and had a perfect amount of time at each one. She also took us to a beautiful overlook spot and took some great photos for us too. I would HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Michelle!!

We could not have chosen a better way to experience this lovely area. Joe was professional and passionate about his heritage and this place he calls home. Very knowledgeable and so friendly. We were so lucky to have him take us to two very different winery experiences and enjoy his company. Don’t hesitate, just do it.

This tour was just amazing!!! We were picked up from our Queenstown Hotel first thing in the morning by Jeff who was a fantastic guide and driver. He was just the right amount of cheeky and lived up to the tour company name Cheeky Kiwi Tours. The van was very comfortable and we were driven in style in a nice Mercedes 16 seater. The drive was only about 5 hours, however the whole tour was 12 hours door to door. We had several stops along the way which were all picturesque. All were easy walks and would be suitable for most people. The highlights of the trip were The Blue Pools, Lake Matheson with the stunning mirror image of Mt Cook behind it. We also opted for an add on of a Helicopter flight (knowns as Heli Hike). This was the most fantastic thing we did on our whole trip.
The guide was super informative of the areas with geology, history and a good amount of humour. thrown in. Franz Josef was a lovely destination but the journey each way was fabulous from start to finish. Highly recommend Cheeky Kiwi Tours.

Terrific half day walk and introduction to the Routeburn track, making it as far as Bridal Veil Falls. Thank you to our very friendly guide Joshua who shared his knowledge about local flora and and Māori traditions. The drive to the track’s start is simply stunning. Highly recommend. 5 stars

The Classic Wine Tour was educational and fun. Our driver, John, was very knowledgeable about the vineyards and Wanaka and New Zealand in general, and was a great storyteller. The wines were delicious and each vineyard was unique. The lunch was delicious. We were lucky to be in a very small group, just us and another couple so we had the chance to ask lots of questions. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Joe was very accommodating of our school group from Australia and gave an excellent, authentic and knowledgable presentation on Māori culture. He delivered with great passion, insight and some mirth along the way, which made the experience very engaging.

We look forward to future visits to Wanaka to see Joe once again!

Great day out with the Private Wanaka and Arrowtown tour. Wayne was an amazing host, telling us all about the areas we drove through. We stopped at some amazing places for a photo as well as longer stops for lunch, a drink, etc. He even fit in an extra stop as we had a bit of time.
Would highly recommend any tour with Remarkable Scenic Tours and we look forward to revisiting NZ and going on another tour. Thanks again Wayne!!

Everything on this tour was sensational! Great local knowledge, fantastic Maori culture, amazing knowledge of the area and a real Maori Experience! So passionate and welcoming yet very humble and sharing. You can see why he is an asset to the tourist industry in the area and it really made us feel like locals. All of the wineries he chose were local family owned so this also supported the local economy. I thought I knew my wines but Joe knew how they were made, the differences between the grapes, and how the locals make their products stand out. A beautiful part of the country shared with us by a real Local!

We went to Glenorchy and Skippers in New Zealand on 6th Feb 2024. This we did from our hotel in Queenstown. It was around 7 hours of photography tour and we loved every bit of it. Skippers and Glenorchy are in opposite directions from Queenstown and the landscape in both these places is also different from one another. Skippers has rugged , canyon like landscape and Glenorchy is lakes, meadows, hills (typical of South island) . Road to Glenorchy has several super beautiful places where you will be compelled to take snaps. The scenery is so amazing that we can't believe we went to those places when we look at the photos today. We went halfway towards Paradise from Glenorchy and out there was a place where we found just us and sheep and beautiful landscape and fresh air.

Our Tour Guide Aistl is very joyful, talkative, knowledgeable and helpful. She treated Me and My wife like old friends. We had one of the most enjoyable times with her on the 20 day New Zealand and Australia Trip. She called us a day in advance and confirmed the participation. Then she asked us where we wish to travel from Queenstown. She recommended Skippers for its different landscape. In Skippers she took us to those scenic hill tops and herself walked to a nearby hill top (actually top of a canyon) walking in her flip flops and took several wonderful photos using our camera. My wife wanted to drive the car in NZ (she has an INTL license) and Aistl gladly obliged. Aistl would not let a moment of boredom come with her interesting stories about life in NZ, her home country and our own culture. It was fun filled 7-8 hrs with her with several photographs. We would certainly recommend this tour for the guide and the different scenary

We were glad that we included the Maori Welcome as part of our pre-wedding activity as it was a great experience for us and our guests who came from different parts of the world in understanding the Maori Culture. Joe was very friendly and accommodated our questions.
