Awesome hike, much easier than expected. There is quite a bit of climbing but the track is fairly well graded with no real steep or difficult bits. In fact, the trail crews were out there during our hike, upgrading the trail and doing a great job. It took us only 2 hours to reach the summit (compared to the 4 hours stated on the DOC sign). We spent about an hour eating lunch and admiring the views, then 2 hours back down. All up, 5 hours. The views of the glacier were amazing, especially as we had great weather. One bit of advice though, try to reach the summit before about 11am, as the clouds start to move in around 11am - 1pm. Highly recommended for fit hikers.
