Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pleasant day out. Pick up and drop off were smooth. Mount Cook was beautiful and there were enough bathroom breaks on the drive. Kevin was friendly and professional.

Our guide and driver Hannah was really knowledgable and friendly and we loved hearing her stories. The hike was beautiful even though it was cloudy/sprinkling, but it also felt a bit rushed (3 hours to hike the whole Hooker Valley trail). Would still recommend this tour!

We went on a wonderful day tour to Mount Cook. Our tour guide Jeff was absolutely amazing. From this tour, Jeff was very accomodating, kind, entertaining, full of knowledge and made us feel very comfortable which made a great overall experience that we will never forget. I highly recommend taking this tour if you are interested in completing the hooker valley track.

We hiked on the Tasman glacier. Absolutely beautiful but you need to be in shape. The guide Pavel was outstanding. The bus driver Sarah was informative and delightful.

Stunning scenery! Dani was a very pleasant and fun driver/guide. The weather was beautiful. However, the recommended trail was a highway of ppl. Would have liked a different option, more challenging, and hopefully, not a crowded! Mahalo.

Hanna was the best tour guide. She recommended me the helicopter ride and it was the best experience of my life. I can't thank her enough for being so informative and energetic throughout the trip

After an unfortunate mechanical issue with our bus which meant we were delayed in leaving, our first leg of the journey was fabulous - Will, our guide, was knowledgeable and professional and kept us moving while still recognising that we wanted to see everything and get all our stops. The three of us moving on to Queenstown were well catered for and those returning to Christchurch were told the return time of the tour would be extended to account for the delay. Our second guide, Sinchan (Mt Cook to Queenstown) was also very knowledgeable but was quite a scary driver, speeding often and several times cutting corners which meant we went onto the other side of the road. Spectacular scenery the whole way along - a great way to see NZ without having to drive it yourself.

Tour guide, Jonathan, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very small group so he was able to tailor to our interests. Ask him about Shrek, the lost sheep! Lovely hikes too. We stayed in Mt. Cook at the lodge so one way tour was perfect for plans.

We booked this tour because Christchurch was our next stop after Queenstown and we wanted to make the most of our trip. We did this on November 8 and Stuart was our driver (with Mike as a translator for the Japanese tourists). They were a good fit. While Stuart was a good driver and quite full of interesting information, it was difficult to hear him sometimes (low talker) as he could be a bit monotonous on occasion. In contrast, Mike was lively, energetic and quick to laugh. This is a long trip and we were sidelined by road closures putting us a full 30 minutes behind schedule. Unfortunately, by the time we arrived at Aoraki/Mt Cook, we had to scarf down our hot lunch just to have enough time for a 30 minute hike. 30 minutes was nowhere long enough for this scenery. We wished we would have stayed the night at the Hermitage and continued on the next day to take advantage of the INCREDIBLE scenery and because this was a LONG drive. The lunch was good, not spectacular. All in all, it was a very good tour.

TIm was our guide over the course of 3 days. He was the best! On Day 1 we visited Akaroa where we took a dolphin cruise and saw a number of Hector's dolphin and some seals, too. After lunch we toured The Giants House, a whimsical garden filled with charmingly eccentric sculptures. On Day 2 we stopped in Fairlie/Burkes Pass to experience a touch of America's Rt 66, Lake Tekapo, and ended our day at Aoraki/Mount Cook. On Day 3 we hiked the Hooker Valley Track, through beautiful scenery in Ahuriri Ward and eded our day in Queenstown. Tim was a wonderful person to spend 3 days with; his conversation make the miles (kilometers) fly by, and yet we had plenty of time to pause, take pictures and enjoy the scenery.

I wish I could add more photos, but Trip Advisor's app will not accept 6 other jpegs because of "invalid" format.
