Great Halloween walk and pumpkin patch day out. Really good displays and fine selection of pumpkins. Some activities for children also.

We LOVE Hatters Farm for our pumpkin picking location!

We have been going to Hatters Farm since they opened and have seen how far they have come along and to be honest couldn’t believe it this year, lots of stalls to eat and drink, toasties, waffles, loaded nachos. The marshmallow toasting was a big hit!

Our favourite thing is the pumpkin canon, which has been going from the first year, the bloke working on it, is so kind and cheers the kids on, as sometimes they can’t see over the big cannon!

Maize maze is brilliant, lots of characters dressed up this year and so many pumpkins, hay Bale maze for smaller kids and hay climbing too!

Photo opportunities are brilliant at Hatters!

    TIPS:
Remember your wellies! It is a working farm, would advise a baby carrier, prams get filthy!

Younger children to wear all in one or waterproofs. It can get very muddy! Hay was being laid in the main areas to cover the mud but the pumpkin fields are muddy.

You are definitely not going to spend a day or even half a day exploring this museum.
It's not the British!. So it's small but very friendly and effective in giving an insight to the history.
I visited because it's the birthplace of Cecil John Rhodes. I visited Rhodesia (as it was in 1971) and saw his burial place in the Matopos Hills near Bulawayo. It made an interesting 'double' for me to therefore visit where he was born.
Very impressed with the whole Rhodes Centre, what a great place for Bishops Stortford to have in the town.

Visited for the first time, and had a brilliant day, we stayed from start to finish. Great vibe, everyone having a good time. You can bring your own food if you want so no hidden costs, you just turn up and have fun watching. We’ll definitely be back.

Couldn't recommend The Belgian Brewer enough for all your venue hire needs!

I booked their function room for a charity fundraiser event, and we honestly had the best time ever. Nik and his team were so helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for us to make sure the event was a success. Their regular quiz host Pete also volunteered to host our evening and did such a great job.

The venue was clean, set up exactly how we needed, the bar was fully stocked and plenty of staff for the amount of people we had.

Nik was so generous with his own raffle prizes, and really made me feel relaxed knowing everything was in hand.

If you are looking to host an event, please look no further than BB! Please support local and pass it forward.

Thank you Nik and the team!

Waytemore Castle is a large mound located in the gardens on the edge of Bishops Stortford town centre. It's a very nice area for a walk close to the River Stort.

You can climb the mound and have a look round the area. It's not particularly high or steep to climb and there is a handrail to help you get up.

There are some ruins on the top.

It's nothing special but gives you a flavour of local history.

This is a great day out for families ,couples ,groups etc .Excellent for young children and plenty of hands on experiences .On a wet day boots would be preferable. Staff are friendly and helpful .Entry price is very reasonable .
We took.our own picnic and there is a play area with tables and seating .A lovely afternoon out visiting animals which are obviously well cared for .

The council have built 000's of new houses in the area and Jackson Square is now just unable to cope. Todai school holidays and endless line of cars going round looking for a space. The town is woefully short of parking

I went to see the theatre's production of Robin Hood. The venue itself has very friendly staff that helped to make my experience a positive one, whether they were scanning the tickets, selling me ice cream or waiting after the show to collect any rubbish, making the atmosphere such a welcoming and memorable trip. The panto itself was a fun one to watch thanks to a great cast, some hilarious jokes and comedy routines, great music choices, puppetry, effective dance choreography, as well as a fresh take on the classic story of Robin Hood.

My partner and I completed the Christmas Candy Chaos with 16 minutes to spare😮‍💨 (we have done quite a few rooms now) however, it was still challenging for us!

I highly recommend any escape rooms to anyone as they’re so fun but especially the ‘Know Escape’ rooms franchise as they’re very uniform with one another and always such good fun😁

A big thanks to our games master Tom, you were very patient with us & added to our experience😊

Mum and l regularly visit M&S in Bishops Stortford.

It's a lovely shop, pleasant staff, fantastic food hall and a great cafe.

However, our last visit was not so good.

Mum needs my help so it's an ordeal to park the car and walk to the shop, but with my help, we get by.

Mum and l were looking forward to lunch at the cafe and wanted a toasted sandwich as normal. On this occasion, Karen and Jackie (who are absolutely lovely) were unable to serve us with hot food as they were on their own, i.e., they were short staffed. They were struggling, but (as always), they served with a smile, apologised, and were utterly professional. I could tell they were struggling, but they remained calm and didn't complain.

Lots of customers left as they wanted hot food too.

M&S, you should be proud of these two ladies who did the best they could under very difficult conditions.

The 5 stars are for Karen and Jackie, not M&S.

We ended up having an egg sandwich which was very nice but not what we wanted, but mum was too worn out to go elsewhere.

    Well done ladies.

    David and Janet.

Brilliant bowling alley. Affordable prices for playing a game or two. Really good quality lanes too. Great selection of food and drink, though pricey as you’d expect. If you’re going to play darts - it’s a really fun and interactive board. But only pay for one set of darts. They try and charge per person, which is £10 each, but try and get one set between your group as that’s all you need. Overall a very fun activity for young and old alike!
