The park is not very large but quite divers. From hikes through the forest to stupendous views of the surrounding area, including the port and town of Xabia. There is in fact a hike from the light house to Xabia (half an hour down).

We were there in Spring and there were a lot of lovely flowers in the shrubs.

Spent a lovely sunny morning walking around the castle and enjoying the views and the history of Denia. Could do with some guides in other languages as historical write ups were detailed and needed a translate app to understand

The beach has just about recovered from the recent storms. The council look after the beaches - much to their credit. We visited in February and was obviously quiet but beautiful.

The port is quite large and very lively, especially in the evening. There are many restaurants and discos. It is pleasant for a walk and has a good view of the castle.

Regrettably we had to change our plans for our trip to Mallorca. I had booked a FLEX ticket back in May, for a trip in September, but found that we need to cancel in July. The on-line cancellation system is user friendly and I obtained a full refund within 5 working days.
Other ferry operators take note. I'm still awaiting a refund on another FLEX ticket associated with this trip which I had to cancel for the same reason (see separate review of that carrier).

The weather mid of Mach was not so excellent and even partially fairly windy, but the walks on the beach are just wonderful as you lose yourself in the distance. Being off season the beach is not cleaned and thus covered with seaweed, shells and small "balls" of fibers coming fom the palm trees. Unfortunately you will also find trash flying around.
Nonetheless, it is a nice, wide and sandy beach which the further north you go gets even better, the sand is getting finer.

We visited Denia twice during our stay in the area & loved the town, especially the old quarter with its old cottages, narrow winding streets & nice selection of local bars, cafes & restaurants.
You can use the free solar powered boat to cross the mariner, only takes a couple of minutes but you get nice views of Denia from the water, especially the Castle.

We came across the Cabo de San Antonio during our walk from Denia to the Torre Gerro, following the rugged coast on sections of promenade, grit tracks and asphalted sections of road, passing several popular chiringuitos perfectly positioned along this dramatic stretch of coastline.

A straight, level, former railway track for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders, stretching from Denia to El Verger, great for burning off the previous night's calories and alcohol!

In the past most tourists missed this as it was in the past historic years!
Now With health & safety it has been reformed with supporting steel slats, and a stone catching net.
It joins Las Marinas rubs to the Denia city, Town hall, Church area.
Often filled with buskers music which is worth a coin or two, their sound carries well.

There was no market but there was a very interesting motor slalom event. Cars manoeuvring a tight twisty circuit against the clock. Mind you health and safety precautions were laughable! Ie dangerous. Noisy and smelly but great fun.

The Gerro Tower is in a prominent location on a hill, overlooking the sea, a stretch of rugged coastline and the town of Denia, providing views to as far as Cullera and its coastal mountain and beyond.

This isn’t one of the most developed beaches but it is still a nice place to visit. Although close to the town, there is a lack of facilities compare to other places.

We didn’t come across any sun loungers for hire but maybe some further down the beach. Here the way to go is grab a towel and try and find some shade from the trees. You are close to the town as well so can take refreshments with you.

Went to the Toy Museum (Museo del Juguete). Denia was the center for toy making in early 20th century after their raisin crop was destroyed by blight. German merchants brought in machinery to make metal trains starting in 1904. In the 20’s turned to wooden toys. Located in former train station. Active through the 1960’s. On Carrer Calderon. Great displays with all types of toys. Show photos about people associated with the toy industry and shots from the factory floor showing equipment used to manufacture and assemble their products. The only downside to this museum is that nothing is available in English. The museum is free.

We were staying at the Camping close by and walked down here each evening. It is a stunning part of the coastline and we appreciated it more and saw different things each time we walked along. It is very peaceful and sometimes there are a few surfers although it doesn’t look like a great surfing place.
