Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The museum is quite large geographically but for us it was easy to visit all the accessible spaces in just over two hours. When we were there, there were huge inaccessible areas being prepared for exhibitions... impressed most by the Asian collection, European collection closed, American collection quite limited, Modern nearly nonexistent. A potential visitor should probably check out the Exhibits schedule before deciding to go. Nevertheless, for us, the Brooklyn was worth the time to visit just to see Judy Chicago's Dinner Party. Exceptionally important piece that is so very very impressive. Don't miss the Kehinde Wiley painting and Rodin sculptures in the side hallways of the entrance atrium.

Janna Levin brings some of the best scientific minds here to discuss the latest developments in genetics, medicine, physics, and robotics. Accessible from Manhattan by ferry with great barbecue just a few blocks away. Free, donations accepted. Science and Art meet here. A great place for a cerebral date.

First, this isn’t a destination bar exactly. It’s tucked onto the top floor of City Point Brooklyn, by the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

But it’s cool, creepy, morbid, and you probably won’t find anything else like it.

The drinks are dark and moody, but still light and refreshing. I particularly liked The Wolf (20% ABV). They also have a large beer selection and non-alcoholic cocktails. Various gin, vodka, whiskey cocktails with a large array of herbs and flavorful accompaniments.

The wax figures are the real reason to come here. Curated by Ryan Cohn, of Oddities fame, it’s full of bizarre, macabre, grotesque figures. Anatomical specimens, death masks, medical maladies. There is a warning at the door that some might find it disturbing.

It wasn’t crowded at all around 6 PM this Friday. The bartenders were attentive, efficient, and courteous. No food is served, but you’re near a huge food court, so eat before or after you come.

Again, not a destination, but worth at least one stop for fun drinks, horror movies, and a unique wax museum experience.

Pierogi Gallery is now located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan:
155 Suffolk St. NY, NY 10002

They do have another space that is still in Williamsburg Brooklyn:
    The Boiler
    191 N. 14th St. Brooklyn, NY 11249

I recommend checking out either of these spaces. The owners are awesome people and their roster of artists is impressive.

Euphoria "A Holiday Experience" .... This was an amazing experience. Such great attention to detail. Every room was different and I was able to get great photos I would be able to cherish forever.

We didn’t want to miss this show since it’s supposed to close at the end of the month. Totally enjoyed it looking at all the paraphernalia of grafitti’s hey day.
Didn’t really care too much for the commercial aspect of graffiti. Growing up in NYC, graffiti was and is all about the grit, the different styles, the art, and the anonymity of the artist. And if you’re lucky and some have been, you get discovered for the art.

Enter Leroy's Place at your own risk because this art space will definitely make your jaws hurt from smiling so much. This small gallery in Park Slope showcases the endearing creations of it's owner, Serene Bacigalupi and her in house team of designers, puppeteers and all around creatives.

This eclectic collection of original makeovers - non-scary monsters painted on/into vintage landscapes - is sure to bring out your childhood fascination with monsters, whether you're two or eighty.

Although the collection is focused around her original paintings I found the gallery to be inclusive and diverse. Prints, soft sculpture, puppetry, whimsical handmade jewelry and one-of-a-kind clothing fill the space with a light-hearted sense that you're entering a special reality where monsters make you smile.

Visited from out of town to buy some art that I saw online. First visit to the actual gallery and I'll go again. Superbly curated exhibition, very friendly staff. Easy to get to on public transport. Would recommend for sure and will return next time I'm in town.

My visit to this gallery was a first. What a nice bright place this was and the lady who was looking after the gallery was so lovely and very chatty. The art work was most impressive and I especially liked some very colorful paintings done by a Nigerian artist. The art gallery is also serving coffee and tea.

Didn't know what to expect but the Oddly Satisfying bit caught my eye, and this spa did not disappoint. It's not a traditional spa - instead of baths and massages you relax with a variety of audio, visual, and tactile treatments meant to help with calm and meditation. The staff are every bit as wonderful as the spa, and by the end you'll leave without an ounce of stress.

The art gallery is off the beaten path. Street parking is better after 4:00 PM on weekdays and is OK on Saturdays. The Gallery is located on the second floor and is accessed by a staircase. The artwork is tastefully exhibited in two showrooms. The current show, "Fake News"' is on until March 4, 2018.
