We've seen and done all the tours, museums, walked the Battlefields, visited the Eisenhower home and farm and strolled the cemeteries, complete with Park Rangers who are tremendous and bring everything to life in...
Note: This is comprehensive museum which means there will be overlap with other smaller museums you might intend to visit in and around Gettysburg during your visit.

Shriver House Museum
#2 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
It was so wonderful seeing all the battlefield museums but hearing and seeing the battle from the civilian aspect was amazing.
I highly recommend anyone visiting Gettysburg to add The Shiver House Museum and tour to their list of things and places to do while visiting this beautiful place.

Seminary Ridge Museum, Gettysburg
#5 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
One of the newer museums in Gettysburg, it provides an excellent multimedia overview of the town, the battle, and the seminary during the Civil War.
There are so many small museums that seem worthwhile (the Shriver House Museum, the Jennie Wade house, the David Wills House) that it becomes a challenge to prioritize when you're in Gettysburg.

Rupp House
#6 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
In the midst of a weekend dragging kids through the historic house-museums and relic collections of Gettysburg, this was such a breath of fresh air.
It's totally FREE, the docents are exceptional and the Museum is loaded with exhibits, displays, and even a scavenger hunt for the kids, they LOVE it.
Gettysburg Heritage Center
#7 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
Aside from Lutheran Seminary Museum and the Visitors Center, this is one of the best all around museums in Gettysburg.
The revamped center boasts an excellent museum experience, often supplemented by reenactor encampments in front, and a shop that offers a panorama of gifts for many interests and age levels; and an array of books...

Gettysburg Diorama
#8 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
It is one of the few museums open in the winter.
I was happy we went there after we toured the battlefields and the museum, as I recognized all sorts of things within the diorama after learning things from previous tours.

Explore & More
#12 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
Explore and More is a reasonably-priced children's museum that is a play house of sorts--you can move between rooms in the repurposed home and explore a construction/factory play area, art areas, dress up areas, a...
I highly recommend this museum and think it's also very reasonably priced given the number of activities and supplies provided for all of the various stations.

It's the most unique museum in all of Gettysburg, for sure.

General Lee's Headquarters Museum
#16 of 23 Museums in Gettysburg
This tiny museum is jewel set next to a really nice boutique that sells real things ... just a stone throw from a huge interpretation centre full of made in china souvenirs.
I would recommend stopping by the little museum, especially on the days it is open to the public.
