Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Jon149 contributionsRiver side walk is very nice and the area near the boat basin is more sheltered from the highway than much of the park. The boat basin itself is not worth a visit and the nearby restaurant is under construction.
There is a restaurant 1/3 mile south.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But constant ferries and freight ships mean even the 100+ foot Yachts are bouncing all day and night. It was a nightmare as we had a bunch of guests who were not used to turbulence. Plus no amenities and no security and lots of sketchy/homeless people answering in the dock. Next time we used Liberty Landing Marina across the river. Not quite as convenient to NYC but safe, protected harbor and no more bouncing!Written 24 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob BowmanNorth Carolina Mountains, NC1 contributionStaten Island Marina is hidden gem if you're cruising anywhere in the Northeast and need to stay overnight near New York City. It's clean, has really great docks, electrical was great, and the group of folks that run the place are very friendly and helpful. They have fuel on site and service if you need it. Also really great restaurants right across from the marina.Written 14 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
