Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Justin WHasbrouck Heights, NJ3,734 contributionsThe NYU campus has a very interesting little museum near Washington Park and it always has such interesting and somewhat edgy exhibitions.
The latest exhibition is on the Mudd Club, a downtown punk club in Manhattan. It is fascinating to take a step back of that time that doesn't exist anymore. The City was a different place in the 1970's and the exhibition captures that time.
The gallery had a small display of the pictures from the exhibition and then it continued on at the Broadway windows further uptown on 10th and Broadway to show the rest of the pictures. It captures the craziness of that time and the people who had fun participating in it.Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was quite hard to find and we walked straight past it the first time. It is located on a chain link fence at the corner of 7th Avenue and 11th Street.
We spent at least an hour reading the tiles and their beautiful messages after 9/11. I'd say this is the one thing not to miss out on when visiting NYC and it's completely free!!Written 2 November 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark PSwampscott, MA2,528 contributionsHeller Gallery is a gem: one of a handful of high end glass galleries around the country. The exhibitions vary, but are almost always interesting. The staff is friendly and informative.Written 14 June 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TomWildenburgHilversum, The Netherlands1,604 contributionsLocated opposite the Whitney this gallery is a true gem. Yes it is commercial but yes it is a very worthwhile visit. From Keith Herring to new artists the collection is a small but great variety of modern art. Check out the photos!Written 14 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
