Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- gary The Golfer8 contributionsVery hard to get the entrance ticket .
Plan it earlier ….
Or you may arrive before 7 am which require no ticket !
The trail to reach the famous delicated Arch require walking 3.2 miles one way, a bit tough hiking trail to reach it, but it’s well worth it . Bring water and wear hiking boots .
The landscape Arch is about one mile hiking , easier too !

It's good to have a spotter in this one. 5 stars.Written 17 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- bluemochaAmerican Canyon, CA467 contributionsActually visited this place Oct of 2023 when weather is not hot around Moab. We hike to the arch from the parking area off the side of the road, about 3mi or so round trip, wasn't too bad if you are decently fit. I'd say this one of the better arches in the area, and its outside of Arches National Park, and no time reservation is needed. Please take note that certain area require a bit of scrambling and you have to climb up a ladder. And there is some area with some minor hill climbing. If you have any physical limitation this may not be the hike for you.Written 8 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoverPInverness, UK800 contributionsDon’t be put off by reviews refer to dirt tracks and cars with off road capabilities. The potash Road is a good paved road all the way to the potash area. You drive alongside the Colorado river with magnificent sandstone cliffs on either side. Add in easy access to petroglyphs, rock climbing opportunities and access to 2 significant arches and you have enough for a good day out.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Annie MClinton, NJ82 contributionsI am so thankful that a local Mmoabite recommended that we drive Castle Valley road. The sites were unbelievable (including the fun of seeing free range cows!) Just beware that there is a reason the speed limit is only 15 miles an hour on sections of this road. There are no guardrails! Be careful and enjoy!Written 7 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SuzanneDallas, TX319 contributionsSomewhat small parking area but relatively short walk to get a great photos at this stop and different views from around the nice trail. Must do!Written 5 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RoverPInverness, UK800 contributionsYou see this from the main road and there is a parking area directly below. It is a steep scramble up to the arch. The easiest route up and down is to the left of the arch as you look at it from the road. There is lots of loose rock and gravel, so every one going up to the arch is causing some further erosion.Written 21 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bbass2021Canton of Zurich, Switzerland10 contributionsGreat scenery, moderate difficulty.
Don’t leave too late in the morning in summer as it gets very hot towards noon.
Put on shoes with a good grip as there are some rocks to climb over. Also be aware that you have to cross the creek several times and shoes can get wet.Written 2 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chasity S36 contributionsShort trail. Worth a quick stop off the highway. No shade so can be very hot in the summer. Lots of informational posts with great information. Dinosaur tracks were easy to see.Written 8 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RANDY ANorcross, GA414 contributionsThis pass marks the spot when you go from pretty much standard trails to a bit more hectic off roading, but it was great. We rented 4 wheelers, and the folks at moabtour company set us up with some nice ATV's . The new KRX's they have a build for Moab, and they were awesome on the trail. We road out over the pass and down to the caves. Great adventure.Written 13 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
