What travellers are saying
- Artima24Lihue, HI2 contributionsHighly recommend the tour at Princeville Botanical Gardens. The best place in Kauai to see all the plant life in one location and only place to see some near extinct plants. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. The chocolate tasting was a nice addition as well!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kathleen SMelfort196 contributionsDefinitely worth stopping at. It is simply a roadside pull out and the views are amazing. Don't miss this opportunity to look out over the valley and appreciate the variety of colors and textures.Written 29 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VorgomonaLandenberg, PA82 contributionsGorgeous clear water teeming with fish, turtles, and eagle rays. - Safari17483318698Naples, FL4 contributionsI went with my sister to Queen’s Bath. Wear hiking shoes or nonslip sturdy shoes. I’m not kidding. The path is basically mud steps that people have created with their foot steps. I was there the middle of Sept. My sister who had lived in Princeville said that it would be safe to go in the water based on the waves she was seeing. It can be very dangerous if you go after Oct 1st but you still have to have someone watch the sets of waves as they come in. It was an awesome experience and I was in for maybe 5 min. Just don’t ever turn your back to the ocean. I was very careful on the rocks walking there and back. It was beautiful to see and worth the trip. Leave young kids with a sitter. Don’t take them there.Written 8 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ty_WildeSalt Lake City, UT16 contributionsBeautiful location. Arrive early, it can get a little crowded especially in the busy season. Green sea turtles are often found relaxing on the beach & swimming in the clear water.Written 1 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Irinamm139Houston, TX186 contributionsKauai or Garden Isle is my the best island of the Hawaiian Archipelago. We visited Kauai for third time recently. It’s well known because of Na Pali Cost Wilderness where the emerald-hued cliffs with sharp ridges meet with the ocean and the stunning waterfalls plummet to the narrow valleys’ floor. If you have time and are interested to see different landscapes and flora,I recommend you to stay at two different sides of the island: south (Koloa) and north (Princeville). There are good beaches for snorkelling not far from Koloa: Salt Pond Beach Park ( secluded and protected), Poipu Beach is very nice, sandy, popular and usually crowded. For the north part I would recommend for snorkelling Tunnels Beach, Sealodge and Anini Beach. On all these beaches mentioned above we saw many sea turtles and seals resting on the send and swimming with us in the water.
To see the beauty of Kauai I highly recommend Safari Helicopters tour. Comparing with other helicopter tours we took on this island before, the Safari Helicopter pilot approached waterfalls close to give us an opportunity to take the great photos.
Also, don’t forget to visit Kaua’i Coffee Company!Written 24 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Also, check out the Kon Tiki bar, fun atmosphere though lacking ocean view. Ice cream, a couple of souvenir shops, and, when you need something, an Ace Hardware store. It’s really the only commercial space in Princeville - we stopped every day on the way back from the beach.Written 6 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - rwillie_53Edmonton78 contributionsEnjoyed going down here better than Queens Bath. It was drier the rocks were easy to walk on the cave is huge. Be careful walking. We wore our water shoes going down and it was easy, you had some grip at least. You still have to be careful. Being in some shape helps because you may have to use the rope or the rocks to pull yourself up.Written 17 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Trudy VSanta Cruz, CA8 contributionsEasy 2 mile hike at the most. Park by Nourish ( snack shack ). - Cyndi1956Indianapolis, IN263 contributionsThis is an amazing farmers market. We had just arrived the day before for a week of vacation and loaded up on fresh produce and interesting fruits and vegetables and delicious cookies and breakfast breads. We also enjoyed chatting with the various artisans and I did purchase a pillow cover. it was such a nice representation of local folks and tourists. There was a Entertainment. I would make this an annual event, if I was saying in Princeville.Written 4 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
