Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a family-run apple (and other fruit, but those are not in season in mid-October) orchard with many apple varieties, baked goods, and jams - all with a beautiful view. We stopped while traveling north. The location is convenient to Rt 66, Rt 81, Front Royal, and Winchester. Lots of families come here to pick apples; others come (as we did) to choose from already-picked fruit. The homemade apple pie, apple butter, and apple-raisin bread are delicious. We also bought Staymans, Romes, and Nittanys - apple varieties not often found in stores. Quality is excellent; prices are reasonable.

7 different wines to try, 3 white and 4 reds. Meat Lasagna was definitely enough for 2 and delicious. Wife is more of a fan of sweet wines, but still enjoyed the tastings. Staff was very kind and helpful.

We visited Hartland Orchards for blueberry picking - very friendly folks and the plants were loaded with sweet luscious blueberries. We picked 6 boxes and it was a very fun and pleasant experience. After picking we bought 6 of the most yummy apple donuts we have ever had- hot straight from the stove. Highly recommend a visit to the orchards .

My wife and I joined another couple at their request for a white wine tasting and a private red tasting with Howard, a gracious, knowledgeable, and patient owner who listens to customers with humor and enthusiasm. The whites were splendidly light yet tasteful, each with their own characters. However I have to state they offer the best reds and a champagne the likes of which I’ve never enjoyed so much!! Before anybody goes please note the location is on the side of a steep ridge and limos and buses are not allowed—that was a nice feature adding to the coziness of the whole place.

I had been trying to go to this winery for a few months and finally made it on a cold March afternoon. It is easy to find as it is right on Leeds Manor Road with a few other wineries in the general area. They did not seem to be very busy and Melissa seemed to be waiting for me to come in. My tasting was very slow to start but then moved quickly. A few of the wines were very unique in smell and taste. I liked that they had a semi-sweet Chambourcin as well as a Vidal Blanc with 3% residual sugar. It was a nice tasting.
