    Don't drive through town without stopping in!
    West is a lovely small town. We were driving through to attend a Basketball game at Baylor and stopped in West for lunch (Try Gerik's you won't leave hungry!). We decided to drive through town and spotted the museum.
    We stopped, thinking we would be there briefly and stretch our legs.
    When you enter, they have reconstructed an old main street! The amount of work that went into setting up the displays is hard to imagine. Each gallery is a tribute to the people and heritage of this small town.
    We were there for nearly two hours. Missing the tip-off!
    Even more impressive than the museum was when we learned that it was all constructed by volunteer labor...and the staff are all volunteers. Everyone was friendly and eager to share their knowledge with us.
    My kids said they enjoyed the museum more than the basketball game!

    Best Place to live in Texas
    My grandparents are from here so i lived here on weekend and holidays. West Tx is my childhood and The West Pool was the hangout. Back then they had one of the tallest diving boards ever, it seemed like. Lilly pads. We would stay all day and enjoy friends.

    Fall kids adventure
    We have been to several of these type farms during the fall season and this one was very good. Plenty fo activities for the kids to fill an afternoon. Hard to find way off the beaten road. I believe they may have closed, so be sure to call before you go!!!
