Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were a family of 6 ranging from 3 to 73 years of age. We all loved the experience. The staff were all so fantastic & went above & beyond our expectations, especially looking after our 3 year old. Staying the whole time with her in the water. She enjoyed the experience immensely & wants to do it again. Thanks to Sea All Dolphin Swims.

A fabulous and must do experience on the Bellarine Peninsular for young and old! Run entirely by volunteers, this community initiative delivers a fabulous day out for all ages, maintains critical national heritage and provides meaningful engagement for locals and visitors alike.
The steam engines are beautifully maintained, offering a unique insight to a bygone era. With a variety of heritage carriages, I encourage you to look through the train while at the stations, as well as some of the information provided at various stops. Plenty of photo opportunities and stunning scenery that changes across the seasons and time of day.
This experience has accessibility limitations, so do speak to them before booking your tickets.

I thought there was four simple things that could be better without costing the organisers anything:

    (1) Have music from the time customers arrive - we're all there at 6:30pm for a party, but music didn't start until 8pm in the carriages. There was some mellow music on the platform that couldn't be heard in most places - not good enough. Crank it up and get the party started, even if it's just recorded music to begin with!

    (2) Everyone wants a drink when they arrive, because they are in a festive spirit. Yet the dills selling drinks only had one electronic payment machine. You've got 50 people wanting a drink at once, plenty of staff, but only able to process one transaction at a time between them. Surely just buy some additional Eftpos machines to help serve people quicker and generate more sales.

    (3) We started in Carriage A and had the two squashy seats at the back, because the rest of the carriage was full. But we were closest to the exit, so were able to get good seats when we changed to Carriages B & C. When we changed to Carriage D, there was literally not enough seats. My wife and I had to share one, and others had to stand up. It wasn't safe, it was uncomfortable and it was annoying. Just disperse the passengers more evenly between carriages - it's not rocket science.

    (4) By the third carriage we'd all had plenty of drinks and were all fired up in Carriage C, having a rocking good time (great 4 piece band on Saturday 25th January 2025), dancing and swaying. When we then changed to Carriage D, we were all totally rocking and ready to party, but the band in Carriage D were way too mellow and most of the carriage stayed seated, waiting for the next song to hopefully be better, itching to get up, just waiting for the music to ignite us. So unfortunately when we were all ready for a crescendo, it was a bit of a deflating note and anti-climax to finish the trip on. I think the band in Carriage D were ok but just needed to pick a different song list to suit the mood at the end of the night.

But overall the Blues Train concept is fantastic, the performers in Carriage A & C were brilliant, the train is novel and fun, the view at the start is really pretty, the food is well executed given the limitations, the alcohol was reasonably priced, the tickets were good value and it was a fun night.

Fantastic day out, these guys worked so hard to make sure we caught fish. Coffee, cakes and a good feed of fish made for a very enjoyable day. Highly recommend, well done guys.

The tour guide, Alan, was knowledgeable, interesting, entertaining and went out of his way to accommodate us. A marvellous walking tour snd a fun way to get to know about the history of Queenscliff.

These guys are the best. They supported me through my course, nothing was too much trouble. Claire in admin was always prompt to answer and Anna was a great instructor. They make it fun and safe. Definitely recommend!

Drives within 30m of stationary boat. And then sets up to drive the area. Operator has no regard for other boats within same area.

I visited this recently after choosing the cafe next door to eat lunch at. This shop is small and colourful… service was professional.

It does have an interesting choice of sugary delights - but it lacks a bit of interest in the store…. Candy stores should delight all of your senses… but this one functions rather than delights.

Still I left with a reasonable selection of lollies… my mother enjoyed what I had purchased for her.

It’s a nice place to visit but it needs to get in touch of its inner Wonka.

We wanted to book an open water fishing charter, as we could go out in the bay any time in our own boat.

Their website was not easy to navigate or determine what the cost was for the open water charter. Eventually, with a few email messages back and forth, we worked out what gift voucher we needed to purchase.

It took far too many months to be able to schedule a trip. We had locked in a date but it was cancelled due to mechanical reasons (fair enough), another booking was cancelled due to inclement weather (again, fair enough), another booking was cancelled for no apparent reason (???). Unfortunately we had to cancel one booking due to attending a funeral. Eventually we managed to book.

Queenscliff Fishing Charters don't actually provide open water charters. They sub-contract this to another company (based in Sorrento). This made trying to book a little difficult, as we had to go through QFC, who then checked with the sub-charter and relayed back to us.

Upon actually arriving at the boat ready to go out of the heads, we were told this wouldn't be the case, as due to inclement conditions, so we ended up just fishing in the bay. After the time and effort to actually lock in a fishing date, we were very disappointed that we could go out in the open water.

Additionally, the fish weren't biting much...just a small haul of flathead & a couple of other fish between the party of 12 or so. Everything added up to quite a disappoint experience.
