Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My mom and I went to Memphis recently. Our first stop was Sun Studio where we were blown away by an amazing tour by Graham. He was so knowledgeable and engaging. He truly brought you back in time to understand the importance of Sun Studio in Music History. This tour is so well worth it and really set the tone of our trip! Be sure to ask for Graham when you get there! You will not be disappointed!

This museum has a huge amount to see and to see everything will take a long time. However, with 1.5 - 2 hours you can see a lot and get a good overview. If you don’t have time it is worth going there to see the location and from the outside you can see the balcony where MLK was shot. I would have liked a map or way of knowing where you were in the museum as you are not really clear where you are in relation to the full set of exhibits.

A real treat to go inside the home of Elvis and the grounds. It was very emotional when you arrived at the meditation garden. It is a memory of a lifetime and couldn't recommend it enough

It's a wonderful story, and very specific to south Memphis. You'll learn about many artists, and of course Booket T and the MGs, one of the gooviest groups of the 60s. A few things could have been explained better, but you'll have a great time and learn a lot.

One of my favorite zoos. Like the layout as well as the variety of animals. The boy drawback is that some of the food carts had very lazy people.

This is a must-do if you love rock and soul music and want to learn more about its history. The museum is well organized in its presentation. There is an introductory video and then you proceed through the museum's various rooms while using a audio headset. Unlike some museum audio headset systems, this one actually works very well. You really get to understand how and why Memphis became a hotbed of rock and soul music. Highly recommended for music fans.

Definitely worth doing when in Memphis. It gets busy so go a little early. The view from upstairs looking over the railing is good.

Beale Street is a whole vibe. Closed to motor traffic you can wander down the street and find just about what ever you want. Food. Drinks. Music. Souvenirs. Interesting Characters. Old Timey Soda Shop. Definitely worth a stop.

I was really looking forward to going to this Estate/Museum but a fire has significantly damaged it. Memphis has many places you can visit to learn about the Civil War, enslavement of blacks and this will be great when it reopens in the future.

Beautiful stadium, almost a mini Busch stadium. Crowd was a bit down for a weekday game, but still a fun environment & nice place for a stadium in the heart of the city just a couple blocks from Beale St

This museum has an excellent display of Asian artifacts. The jade carvings are exquisite. I especially liked the room of dolls. The Judaic art is small. It has a few nice pieces.
