Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff are very friendly with the many regulars and visitors. Wendy, the manager, runs a great wee place. Well worth a visit. My father's weekend pub. A pub with a community. The owners have made a great job of the rebuild. Great pint of Belhaven. The 1st night was very quiet but bar staff was very friendly football was on the tv but not very loud. The 2nd night there were 3 people in who used to live in Bury. A really enjoyable night with a lot of laughs. If you are visiting Rothesay or are a local I would recommend this small bar. Looking forward to my next visit to Bute and will certainly make another visit.Written 25 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gary BThirsk, UK730 contributionsSaw this place whilst taking a walk in the evening. As the sun was shining went and had a couple of beers whilst enjoying the sun and the amazing view. Looking over to the mountains, watching the boats and the odd seal whilst having a cold pint of San Miguel. Will be back again tonight!Written 25 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
