You can park on the gravel road or drive closer to a parking area but be warned that to get to the lot you will need 4wd with a lot of clearance but not for the gravel road side parking.

Love the park and the lake can be beautiful and relaxing year round.
South Cove County Park is a great spot on Lake Keowee for a short picnic, birthday party, an all-day outing, or a week of camping.

Part of Stump-house Tunnel Park, this part of the area is a great simple spot to see.
There is a really old grave yard up hill from the Stumphouse Tunnel (on the other side of the park- not the picnic area).

The park itself has fun things to do - fishing, canoeing, hiking, mini golf - we really enjoyed ourselves and the temperature in the yurt was perfect.
We have also enjoyed other parts of the park, such as the beach, golf, biking, family and reunion gatherings, swings, etc.
