The site displays impressive history of naval fortification history along with weapons from Revolutionary War to WWII, and in that way much different and better than Fort Sumter (which is also very good).
The fort itself is very clean and well preserved, offering beautiful views of the Charleston Harbor, various cannons on display, rooms to tour, and a place to pic-nic by the water.
