Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- lithlithMichigan885 contributionsThe Waterfront park is a must see/stroll while in Charleston. It's right on the water with lots of trees, benches, and fountains. You'll get some great photos here. If the Carnival Sunshine is in dock, then you'll see that from here as well as crew members hanging out in the park enjoying a break from the ship.Written 21 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Susan LDurham, NC460 contributionsSimply beautiful! We went in mid-March and the camilias were still in bloom and the azaleas had just started to come out. Gorgeous! We didn't get the 'combo' tickets for the gardens and house because the "house" was destroyed and so the building you go into is a small outer building that survived.
We spent about 2 hours at the site and we did take advantage of the garden overview tour which was free and lasted about 30 mins.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was actually looking for a petting zoo for a toddler, this is NOT the place for that, although the wildlife center is kinda cool. The grounds/gardens/paths/bridges/pods are just breathtaking. Flowers of every kind , everywhere, beautiful serene little spots with benches and parks that never end . It's worth the ticket, and you can come back another time in the calendar year.Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard CVirginia781 contributionsWalking White Point Gardens is certainly worth your time when in Charleston. You'll be treated to see the harbor adjacent to the historic architecture that the city is famous for. There are benches to sit on, and it's a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the city.Written 6 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlexandraUnited States131 contributionsIt was a rainy day in Charleston and my mom and I were looking for something to do indoors. We discovered Charleston was home to the South Carolina Aquarium and decided to spend a couple of hours there. It’s such a very facility and we really loved the sea turtle rehabilitation center! We also really enjoyed the touch tank for the sting rays -- they are so social and love to be touched! However, the cost for tickets is a bit on the pricer side considering the size of the aquarium, and they don’t offer discounts for seniors which was a little disappointing. I suppose it does all go to a good cause, but did wish there were additional exhibits to justify the cost.Written 7 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Megunticook72Camden, ME293 contributionsOnly one drawback to a River Dogs game
at this stadium and it’s the blaring
noise that is in every announcement.
The “dumb” TV noises and the pitch of
the walk up music is bush league even
for a single A team. It hurts the ears and
the experience. Small children like noise
that loud?
The game itself against the Columbia
Fireflies was intriguing and real baseball.
The game was a joy to watch.
Seeing the Tampa Bay 1st round draft
pick perform was a look into his career
as it might be. A look into Summer.Written 17 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - whitingwuJersey City, NJ8 contributionsWe saw alligators, many kinds of birds, snake across our path.

A place to play, picnic, feed the ducks, smell the flowers, walk the dog, run a mile. I loved just enjoying the sun and watching the birds. I wish I had a park like this.Written 6 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GoogleEarth_TravelerJacksonville, NC119 contributionsA nice park to visit with history, memorials near great restaurants. Great shade from the sun, park benches to rest (be mindful of bugs), and close to other sites. At just the square alone there's a statue of George Washington, an obelisk and the fire proof building. Across the way is also the pillar from the Giant's Causeway (Ireland) that not many know of.Written 6 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
