Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Simply beautiful! We went in mid-March and the camilias were still in bloom and the azaleas had just started to come out. Gorgeous! We didn't get the 'combo' tickets for the gardens and house because the "house" was destroyed and so the building you go into is a small outer building that survived.

We spent about 2 hours at the site and we did take advantage of the garden overview tour which was free and lasted about 30 mins.

This might be the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I did not see tour the big house or the cabins. I was actually looking for a petting zoo for a toddler, this is NOT the place for that, although the wildlife center is kinda cool. The grounds/gardens/paths/bridges/pods are just breathtaking. Flowers of every kind , everywhere, beautiful serene little spots with benches and parks that never end . It's worth the ticket, and you can come back another time in the calendar year.

Walking White Point Gardens is certainly worth your time when in Charleston. You'll be treated to see the harbor adjacent to the historic architecture that the city is famous for. There are benches to sit on, and it's a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the city.

A nice park to visit with history, memorials near great restaurants. Great shade from the sun, park benches to rest (be mindful of bugs), and close to other sites. At just the square alone there's a statue of George Washington, an obelisk and the fire proof building. Across the way is also the pillar from the Giant's Causeway (Ireland) that not many know of.

This place is a lovely present wrapped in sad looking wrapping paper. Don't let the wrapping paper put you off! The small museum and gift shop does a superb job of showing the works and genius of Philip Simmons beautiful iron works. He won many national and international awards. Trust Trip Advisor and NOT GoogleMaps to locate the museum, which is in the back yard of the Philip Simmons House at 30 1/2 Blake St.

Theodora Park is a wonderful little park outside the Gaillard Center that is a great place to sit down and have a picnic or read a book. There are plenty of purple chairs and places to sit here. This park is very nicely manicured and maintained and the end result is a beautiful park that everyone can enjoy by themselves or with a group of friends. I like how this park appears and is present as a green space that is calm and relaxing.

A hidden gem even for Charlestonians, Wragg Square is a quaint little park among many in the city, packing 26 different species of plants in a small area.

You’ll notice an old brick wall and ornate fence bordering the park that dates to the early 1800s. The steps were refurbished in 2016. Best of all, the pathway leads up to the historic Second Presbyterian Church.
