Very easy to reach and park.. and it's so beautiful and easy to walk on the well-paved cliff.. there is one small stone area but I crossed even with a baby and stroller.. and those mansions looks great as you walk...

Nice beach for walking or kite flying in April when we were there, and the nearby nature reserve had nice flat walking loop with Ocean and Bay views and birds.
We usually get there by 9:30 and the parking lot is almost full, especially if you want to park near the bathhouse.

I highly recommend Fort Adams State Park with its huge variety of events and its close proximity to the numerous activities and restaurants available in Newport!
The complete lineup of musicians were outstanding and it was a perfect day at Fort Adams Park.

Sheltered from winds and high surf, it's located on the Sakonnet River, separated from Second Beach by Sachuest Point Nature Reserve.
$15 to park seems a little steep to me but it was truly a lovely spot.

Touro Park is nice, we liked the many interesting architecture structures in the area, including the Old Stone Mill, the churches, statue, stone slab water fountain, etc.
We had a great stroll around the park and got to see this great structure, it was so interesting so look at and see the construction.

Great place to spend a day with family, free parking, plenty of space to fly a kite, have a picnic, walk along the ocean, or sit on one of the many park benches...and it's all free!
