There’s a lot to love about this place. First, the location: it’s up in the mountains where the fresh air and views of fall foliage are absolutely breathtaking.

Second, it’s a mega resort: there are two massive waterparks, plenty of outdoor activities year-round, two restaurants, two bars, a coffee shop, arcade, and more!

However, the main reason we chose this venue is because we believed it would be great for our pets. Here are just a few ways that it fell short for our fur babies:
    1. No designated *enclosed* space. The pet relief area located waaaaay in back is just an open patch of grass directly next to an active road. A truly pet friendly environment should have a safe space for pups to run and play, off leash.
    2. Designated Pet Rooms have carpeting. Animals tend to mark, so having a dirty carpet in the room that’s clearly been soiled is unhygienic and encourages more marking. Hard flooring would be easier to clean and therefore much more hygenic and visually appealing.
    3. On this massive property that’s known for its waterpark, would it kill them to have just one indoor puppy pool? The visual alone of puppies frolicking in a sprinkler or shallow pool would be an epic ad.
    4. Allowing only one pet per room is just sad. Standard for most “pet friendly” resorts are two pets, at least in a double room.

Separately, they need smart tvs in the rooms. Everywhere that we’ve gone lately has had TVs with Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming platforms already built in so we could just login, enjoy our shows in the evening, and log out before we leave.

Booking the Mountain Adventure tickets was a slow and clunky process that we had to do on our phones, then the kiosk wouldn’t work to print the vouchers.

Lastly, every night we were subjected to several hours of hallway and neighboring room noise. Thumping a footsteps, children running down the long hallways, drunk people taking loudly, elevator doors opening and closing, etc. I’m a light sleeper, so it definitely kept me up.

Everything about the place was great. Except the restaurant onsite. I believe it was under old navy… we sat down and waiting for 20 minutes. No server greeted us. We ended up just leaving (we didn’t even get water!) and had the amazing crab cakes right outside.

A little pricey for what you get. The 1000' zipline and coaster are both fun, but for $24 and $18 respectively, its not a great value. Then on top of that, they hit you for $12 to park. If you got 2 runs on each, that would be a lot more appropriately priced. Whatever you do, don't get the adrenaline trio. The tubing is a waste of time (way way too short of a run) and for the additional $18 you spend for that, you could use that for another run on one of the other two. Would've love to have tried the 4000' zipline, but it was closed.

This was bigger than expected and nicely laid out. It has a nice booth design and things were easily accessible. Reasonable prices and a large variety of items.

If the region has had no snow, choose a different place to ski. Camelback only had one lift running, not including the two bunny slope lifts, and basically only two greens and one black open. There was a snippet of two blues and that was it. When you look at how big the mountain is and how many runs there are, it was pathetic. They closed for wind one day while we were here and sent us to Blue Mountain Resort. That's a smaller ski area but the man-made snow was so much better than the quality at Camelback - it resembled real snow - and there were many more runs to choose from. They were also very long runs. We wish Camelback would close again today so we could go back for free. The water park is okay if you get free tickets. I wouldn't pay for it. We didn't try the snow tubing but snow tubing is snow tubing. We got a decent price on a 3-day lift ticket which made it a value and that's the only reason we chose to come here. In future, if we observe that there is no natural snow, we would not come back. The staff was very helpful and responded to what we needed very promptly. We were a little frustrated that we got completely geared up and went down to the ski storage area and it was there that we learned the mountain was closed. We feel they should have emailed all the guests.

This satellite tasting room, conveniently located near Camelback Resort and Great Wolf Lodge was a SPECTACULAR find!!! Our server, Brenda, was extremely knowledgeable of the logistics, preparation, and wines of Blue Ridge Winery. We enjoyed experiencing a flight . . . accompanied with the stories behind the vintages.

We HIGHLY recommend a stop at this tasting room, if you don't want to drive the additional 30 minutes to enjoy the winery's estate or have dinner in the underground room.

If you are first time player, or even if you've played a bunch, strap on your boots and get ready for a heck of time. They have everything you need for a three hour session of paintball you aren't about to forget.

AND, we were there for a bachelor party. We didn't pay for a package or ask for special treatment, but the staff had a great sense of humor, putting the groom in a bright orange jump suit, and even set us up for a couple of special games specifically for our group.

This was three of the most intense hours I've experienced in a long time and I can't wait to go back!

First off, this resort has only one access road in and out. Never knew that until a tree literally fell on said road while we were out to breakfast and blocked anyway in or out of the resort. We were stuck off resort in the woods for a few hours, with no way back. We tried to get a cell signal and called the resort to get guidance and phone system hung up on us 6x. One of our party members desperately needed their insulin so we finally gave up waiting, parked the car in the woods and began walking about a mile to try and get near the resort and make it back. The fact that a tree fell, obviously not this place’s fault. That was random and unexpected. One access road- somewhat a bit of a safety issue. Wild part: We were still charged the daily parking fee despite the fact the car was left in the woods. We asked to please check out 1hr late the next day to give our kids more time that they missed Saturday,
also denied. Spent a LOT of money on a suite and a cabana and this was a pretty upsetting experience. Didn’t think the request to remove a parking fee or check out 1hr later that we made as a result of being stuck in the woods were a big ask. We were simply told we could check out late for another fee.
