Put a twenty in the change machine on sight that produced twenty gold dollar coins after the long walk from the parking lot and over the bridged walkway. The ride was nice and short both ways with not much on top open but the viewing area.

We were on vacation in Pittsburgh and came here one morning. It was a fun diversion from the busy city. The exhibitions were clearly labeled and beautiful. The theme was “Under the Sea”, which wasn’t really that prevalent in the displays, but that didn’t detract from the beauty. It’s a manageable size and we were able to see almost everything (some exhibits were under renovation).

Have been to 15 MLB parks and this is my favorite. Spectacular views everywhere and nice wide concourses to allow easy movement for all. Concessions are decent and there are excellent drinking and dining options just outside the ballpark.
You also have 2 unique ways to get to the game. You can take the boat from Station Square or walk across the Clemente Bridge, which is closed to vehicle traffic for home games.

Before eight AM parking is attainable. Pay to park was easy. The shops opened in staggered fashion. The place is absolutely great.

My husband and I visited the Carnegie Museum of Natural History last fall and had a lovely visit!

It’s such a plus that the museum is connected to the Carnegie Library and the Carnegie Museum of Art. There is ample safe parking (with a small fee) and it’s easy to navigate to the museum campus via car. From the museums, there is easy walking access to all the sites in the university district (University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie-Mellon). Like all downtowns, there are many one-way streets and higher-traffic areas; Google Maps was our friend. The museums are in a very clean and safe neighborhood.

Because the Natural History and Art museums are connected, the facility map is a little confusing. Color-coding the areas (especially on the second floor) would assist the first-time visitor. However, there are many docents throughout both museums, and they are extremely friendly and helpful; don’t hesitate to ask them for directions or to answer any questions you might have.

Quotes from the community hang along the stairs from the entrance to the admission desk: “I want a museum that. . . .” They were inspiring and very thought-provoking.
The building is a beautiful ornate facility that was built as a museum, so the exhibit areas are well-planned and fit the items displayed. The wonderful architecture enhances the immersive experience of touring the different areas of natural history and art that are presented.

There are so many wonderful exhibits that it would be impossible to list them all, but here are some highlights:
--the dioramas of the animals from all over the world (especially the Arctic and African exhibits)
--the minerals hall with gems and other precious stones
    --Native American displays
--Dinosaurs! There is a fine collection of fossils including the reconstructions of several dinos (Tyrannosaurus rex, Plesiosaur, Quetzalcoatl, Brontosaurus)
--The hall of architecture, with full-size pieces collected from around the world
The hall of insects was unfortunately closed during our visit.

We spent several hours in the museum and still felt like there was more to see. It was definitely a highlight of our trip, and we’ll be back on our next visit to Pittsburgh!

Take an incline and enjoy the view. We rode the Duquesne Incline and walked around. The view gave us a nice perspective of where we had been in Pittsburgh.

The Hall of Honor tour was very interesting for this lifelong Steelers fan. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Bonus was receiving a discount at the Pro Shop at the end of the tour. Highly recommend!

We visited Bicycle Heaven while in Pittsburgh to see Bruce Springsteen. Looking for something to do during the day prior to the show, and wow, Bicycle Heaven did not disappoint! It truly was an amazing place to visit. Over 5000 bicycles with such great historical significance! From bikes for the Beatles and Monkees to Pee Wee Herman and rare Bowden bicycles, it was an awesome experience browsing thru all of their bikes and collectibles. I told my sister and her family to go the day after Bruce and they did and they loved it too! Would highly recommend; plus there is no admission fee (donations are suggested and well worth it!) and no parking fees. If you have an hour or so to spend in Pittsburgh, Bicycle Heaven is worth checking out!

A superb, world-class history museum with an extraordinary collection beautifully displayed. We spent an entire day here while it rained outside, and thought we could have spent even more time as there was so much to see. I would recommend this museum to anyone who has a general interest in history and a specific curiosity about Pittsburgh, its origins, its people, and its industries. Also, there is an excellent gift shop chock-full of Pittsburgh-related books, togs, and quality souvenirs. In a word - GO! You won't be disappointed!

Wonderful experience as we saw so many colorful birds, up close. They have the facility broken up into different areas like wetlands, savanna, place for penguins, etc.

Family and I had a great time at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium. During our visit it was raining (not holding it against the zoo) so of course some of the attractions were not operating due to the weather conditions.

Overall cleanliness - I would rate 5 - There was no trash laying on the ground and the walkways were all neat and tidy. The foliage was neatly trimmed and maintained. The exhibit glass appeared as clean as possible. We arrived at open and stayed until close and exhibits at open were very clean and tidy.

Amount of Animals on location - I would rate about a 3.5 - there were a fair amount of animals at the zoo. Some of them were not on exhibit, this was either due to weather or other complications. Giraffes, Zebras, Rhino, Anteater, and Sea Otters were all unavailable at the time of our visit. Staff was able to identify the reason for each situation. The entirety of the “Kids Kingdom” was closed due to weather. Wasn’t overly happy with this as it was a light rain, but again, Not holding this against the zoo as I’m sure they were following the instructions they were given. The notable mentions at this Zoo was their Polar Bear (Snowflake), African Elephants, Amur (Siberian) Tigers, Bat Exhibit, Penguin Exhibit, and Gorilla Enclosure. These were all unique compared to other Zoos that my family and I have visited.

Food - Easy 5 - The price you pay is in line with other Zoos and Aquariums. About 20$ a person. BUT, the amount of food and quality of the food was a huge surprise. We had the Chicken Parm and Chicken Tender Meal which was enough to leave us more than full. It was also very good compared to other park style restaurants we’ve been to. We ate at the Jambo Grill. All of the other food courts were closed during the time of our visit.

Overall, we had a great time, and we hope to return in the future with better weather to experience the rest of what was normally available.

Learned so much about this amazing photographer, painter, record producer, etc. I hadn't realized how many different creative works he was involved in. The layout is perfect as it takes you down 7 floors with each floor covering a different decade of his work.
