- Anton C1 contributionI have been organizing rafting trips through Kittatinny canoes for the last 10 years. In recent years, I have brought parties of 15 to 25 people. To be honest, everything has usually gone pretty smoothly and we have enjoyed the trips except for this year mostly due to a very rude manager, who seemed more interested in punishing her customers instead of understanding the situation and resolving it. I brought a party of 17 people this year, but we arrived in three different cars. I arrived first and checked in at the window. The employee checking me in, took my ticket, but never logged me as checked in. When the rest of my party arrived and waited for 30 minutes in a line to be added to my party, they told them that I was not checked in and called me to the window. I explained that I had checked in an hour ago and just was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive who is now at the window. But because they claim I was not checked in that I had to go to the end of the line. One of the employees made a mistake in not checking me into their computer and so rather than simply check us all in at that very moment since we were all standing there with all of our waivers complete ready to go. I was told that I was cutting the line and had to go to the end. After much aggravation and being politely forceful, they decided to do the right thing and check us in which took 30 seconds instead of the 10 minutes they spent holding the line up trying to force me to the end of the line. I felt this was very poorly handled and not customer friendly and left a very bad taste in my mouth.
