Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a superb walk up onto the headland, to the light house and back round towards the beaches. There is a small cafe for drinks and light snacks by the lighthouse. The best thing was the outstanding view we had of migrating whales that were passing right past the headland. Incredible. We also saw a pod of dolphins and others said they had spotted turtles. Beautiful area.

Very good experience with young kids. Plenty of animals to walk around and see as well as some ice cream to eat. There is a small playground too. Check it out

A nice area on the side of Byron Bay where you can see beautiful beaches, surfers, a hiking trail with good views and finally the lighthouse.

    Check out the pictures!

Located just off the beach at The Pass .. the Fisherman’s Lookout has good views along Byron Bay’s foreshore

As well as the surrounding views from Fisherman’s Lookout .. I liked the rock formations

If you visited this Byron Bay lookout during higher tides .. you’ll need to walk through water

The Wreck is named after the ship Wollongbar that is lodged just of shore at Belongil Beach and about 65 meters from the Main Beach at Byron Bay. The Wreck is a favourite spot for surfers> When I was there in December I just saw a bit with seagulls perched on it, as it was high tide. When you google The Wreck there are many images on the net.

For the magnificent views , from the Most Easterly Point of the Australian Mainland .. makes the strenuous walk , via a sealed track , to this Cape Byron Lookout , totally worthwhile

For the picturesque views of lower Cape Byron Conversation Area Headlands .. enduring the energetic hillside walk , to this Cape Byron Lookout - making it worth while

I liked the rock formations & Little Wategos Beach

The sealed hillside track is surely not PWD friendly .. due to the amount of steps

Plenty to see in the many small shops. A friendly atmosphere and no pressure selling. This is one place where you can find genuine Australian products made by locals, but check the labels carefully.,

Don’t bother with this lookout. Any views that it once had have been totally overgrown.
There is a decent sized carpark here and a path that leads straight down to the beach so it’s a handy spot but don’t expect a panoramic view.
There is a changing room/toilet block to the right of the beach path, some outdoor gym equipment, and a picnic area with one or two wooden tables.
However the picnic area is also overgrown and quite dark and gloomy so I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone. There are so many beautiful picnic spots all over Byron that you can do much, much better elsewhere. This one is past its use-by date.
Although the lookout views are completely obscured by native bushland, just past it is an elevated boardwalk that does have some lovely vantage points.
We were walking from Main Beach to Wategos so we kept walking and after just a couple of minutes we had some really vantage points, looking down over Clarkes and Main Beaches.
