Real shopping experience
In a perfect world less 'cheapie' shops and a few more independent specialised shops, but realistically locals need affordable shops.

This is a superb place to go for a walk, see an exhibition or two, grab a coffee/bite and do some shopping.
You can go inside the gallery and see lots of art and exhibitions that change on a regular basis with a brilliant shop, but the best part is beautiful countryside studded with amazing artwork and sculptures.

... is good but the longer workshops are well worth attending too, and we have so much fun we can easily spend over an hour looking around at the forgotten library and just having fun before we even start shopping.
The shop is much more than just a shop - there's a magical Museum and a magical book area where children are encouraged to use their imagination ( as well as adults!).

The building is just amazing, the exhibits delightful and the shop and cafe are excellent quality...not the cheapest but this visitor attraction is FREE so makes the day excellent value for money.
But I decided to park in Wakefield town car park, looking round the shops first.
