What travellers are saying
- Jessie SanjiManchester, UK13 contributionsThink it’s great for adults, great for children, just great for everyone. So much to learn. Very affordable. Friendly staff. Educational. Fun. Enjoyable!Written 25 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Graham CPortsmouth, UK2 contributionsI’ve done many brewery tours but this was one of the best. Lots of details of the brewing process, the history of the brewery and occasional bits of humour. The tour guide Gary really made it interesting and informative. The brewery is moving to a new modern site in a few months so book a tour of this historic site whilst you can.Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle GCheadle, UK16 contributionsWe recently had a large kids party here and it couldn’t have been better. The party coordinators were amazing, particularly Chloe and with such a big group (23).
First the kids get to hold and pet small animals. Then they were provided with carrots to feed the larger animals. The birthday boy and his cousins were also allowed to groom the ponies. The kids were then treated to a tractor ride and free time to play in the play area before lunch and birthday cake.
Lunch was well organised and all the many dietary requirements were managed perfectly!
Parents could either join the children or had the option to wait in the tea rooms with a brew. The party price includes entry for 1 child and 1 adult.
We have always loved Reddish Vale Farm but now we love it even more. A wonderful party at a wonderful venue.Written 4 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only criticism is you can't access the cafe unless paying for entry so elderly mum had to wait in the car...
And I was overcharged for a cockpit tour... but as it's a charity and the tours were very good I'll let them off !Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is my husbands birthday on valentines so this wad a special treat and an absolute joy! The plaza interior is stunning and to hear the Compton organ playing as we walked in was magical, it actually brought a tear to our eyes.
Huge thanks to the volunteers and amazing organist for such an amazing day. We had no idea that things are still dine the old fashioned way with a pathe newsreel, icecream tubs at the interval. Fab-u-lous!Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bob C27 contributionsWe had a brilliant time! Our guide was doing her first tour and was really good. Knew her stuff and very engaging.
We had gone for a laugh and had low expectations but found out so much fascinating stuff. We feel like felt experts now!!

You can tell it’s really looked after as it’s so clean, lovely flowers, no overflowing bins etc. we love having lunch in the courtyard. I’ve had to lose a star as I just wish the play area was bigger and could be extended more like it used to be when I was littleWritten 11 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debra MRedruth, UK225 contributionsWhilst pet-sitting in the area, I was looking for good walks to do with the dog. I parked up on Glossop Road and walked down the hill which meandered through beautiful woodland, down to the waterfall at the bottom which is very impressive. We then took the path towards the lake then walked along a path which had the lake on the left and river on the right. It was stunning. The tree canopy sheltered us from the rain.
I had a cup of hot chocolate in the cafe which was delicious, then walked back. I followed the mountain bike trail on the way back up the hill which was steep but fun. I needed a shower when I got home as I'd worked up a sweat on the uphill climb. Gorgeous walk - highly recommended. If you don't want to walk uphill, there's a car park near the cafe and you can walk to the waterfall which is flat.Written 18 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Barry PLeyland, UK3 contributionsThe Hatworks Museum is one of 4 museums administered by Stockport Council, we have visited the other 3 on a multi-ticket. The Hatworks Tour guide, Lisa, was excellent; she explained the history of hat making in Stockport which, for several years the hat-maker to the world!
Lisa explained the process of hat making as we walked around the different sections of the preserved museum. Everyone in our party of 17 enjoyed it very much.Written 28 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
