This is an amazing city gem of a small park that volunteers keep in an immaculate condition.
Garden looks small when you park but once inside it goes on & on with a great variety of flowers, trees & shrubs/bushes.

a very nice clean state park divided by a small stream that runs through the park, including foot bridges and walking paths to the beach and ocean.
Saturday 9/30 it was a beautiful day for viewing the kites on the beach at the D river park.

Parking gets filled up quickly though, but there are 3 local areas you can park and walk to the beach too.
Unless you're staying at a nearby hotel you'll never find a place to park.

The city has been steadily improving this park adding a sculpture of Sparky the dragon at the entrance, a newly remodeled playground castle and a new pergola for later concerts and events.
The park is far enough from the ocean to be beyond the fog line, so it's often sunny there when the beach is cool and foggy.
